fall asleep ok but wake at 1 or 2 am exhausted still ## What time do you take it? Learn more Viibryd details here. I'm curious as to whether or not adjusting the time of day you take it may help. Have you talked to your doctor about it? ## My Dr. advised me to take Viibryd in the evenings. I am on day 12, and I sleep okay sometimes, but mostly I feel exhausted and sleep-deprived. I have interrupted sleep and I wake up too early to get a full 8 hours of sleep. I have tried taking melatonin, but that didn't really help.

Was just weaned off Viibryd. While taking it I began to have horrible diarrhea that is continuing although I took my last Viibryd about a week ago. Help, I've lost about 12 lbs in about a week and a half. Not hungry at all.Scared and don't feel well. Help! ## Diarrhea is a known possible side effect. How long were you taking it? If you took it for awhile, I'd say about 2 weeks or more, then it may take a couple of weeks for the side effects to completely taper off. Learn more Viibryd details here. I was feeling good at 20mg. I began to experience some side effects such as not being able to sleep or falling asleep then waking up about 4 hours later. When I woke my heart was pounding and I was very anxious. I called the pdoc in the morning. He told me I was experiencing something called "breakthrough". He upped me to 40mg thinking that would help. I had been at 40mg for three days and I knew that was enough. My heart would pound when I was awake as well as upon waking. Along with all that he has me on an anti anxiety med Ativan .05mg three times a day. It works but I'm only allowed this dosage at this time. Hi all...I'm now on Day 6 of Viibrd 10mg starter pack. My headaches have gone way, thank goodness, and no migraines! I did have one horrible day of "tummy issues" but that seems to be going away too. I'm worried that once I switch to the 20 mg of Viibryd that will happen again..and it's miserable especially when you work in an office like me. I feel good moodwise, however,and no other side effects. I stop the half Celexa pill on Wednesday so I am sort of worried about that. I have been on Viibryd for 9 weeks. I am taking 40 mg's per day. First, I must say that I love this medication! It has saved my life - and I say that because I was on prozac for a year and while on it I was re-diagnosed with Recurring Major Depressive Disorder and was suicidal and hallucinating. Since I have been taking this medication, I no longer feel depressed, it is like the world is brighter. The only side effect that I have had is my empathy for people is completely gone. Before I was on Viibryd and before I became depressed I was a 'bleeding heart'. Now, I just do not care about anyone or anything. Just started Viibryd day 6 at 10mg, went off cold turkey 40 mgs of Prozac, and 50 mgs of Amitriptilene (spelled wrong)..I have been in hell..I'm lightheaded and feeling very aggitated, I kind of feel like I'm crawling out of my skin..But this is the worst part and my main question..I average 4 to 5 migraines a week and can usually get rid of them within 3 to 5 hours..I now have a migraine morning noon and night, has any one else while taking Viibryd, has your migraines increased...Thanks!! ## At this point, it's actually difficult to say whether the migraines may be from the Viibryd, or from stopping the other medications abruptly. I'm 30 yrs old and have been on this drug for about a month and a half. At first, I had very few side effects with this drug not half as bad as I was expecting.I did experience a few times waking and having weird stars and colors when I would close my eyes again but that went away after a few days. However, now since I've been on the 40 mgs for about three weeks now? And I've been having a lot of really weird things happen to me. I am currently on klonopin for about 4 years now...(.50 3 x's a day) my anxiety is bad, in a bad mood alot...my dr sent me home with viibryd i have never been on an AD before scared to take??? ## It's not any more dangerous or risky to take than the Klonopin that you're already using every day and, as a matter of fact, in some ways it has less risks, because it isn't known to be habit forming and addictive, like the Clonazepam in Klonopin. on day 11 of viibryd and day five of no cymbalta. felt dizzy all this week until last night. but of course symptoms back this morning again. should i be patient with viibryd ## Yes, because you're dealing with two different issues here, the side effects from starting the Viibryd, which can last anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks and the withdrawal/rebound effects from stopping the Cymbalta, which may take just as long to wear off. Okay so ive been taking viibryd for about 5 days now. I was on celexa for 10 years before this and have been experimenting different medicines the past couple weeks to find someone to avoid weight gain and other side effects. This medicine really works well for mood. However, the past 5 days ive been experiencing headaches and nausea as well as having a difficult time sleeping. Im hoping those side effects go away soon though. I have high hopes for this medicine. I also experienced a bit of gas and going to the bathroom more. (nothing too excessive) . I am not a depressed person just overwhelmed with caring for my 2 grandsons and trying to get my housework done, and have sometime for myself (which never happens) My doctor put me on the started pack of Viibryd 10mg for 7 days and 20mg of 7days. I now have been taking 20mg, this is my 8th week. I want to wean off of the medicine, doesnt to a thing for me. My husband and daughter agree. Can anyone tell me how this dosage is when weaning at my point. ## Sounds like you started on a free pack. It would depend how long you been taking it to get off. Has anyone starting Viibryd experienced seeing stars or small floaters? It is very scary! Please respond ## Have you consulted your doctor? These symptoms aren't listed among the common side effects and it may not be the right medication for you to use. You may need to switch to something else.

Today was my first day of taking Viibryd. Starting on the 10 MG dose. I am also having to slowly stop taking 100MG Pristiq that I am currently on. Sounds like a fun month! Hope the slow withdrawal from pristiq won't be too bad. But here's to hope! ## Hi and welcome to our site!
