Using Donor Eggs In Ivf

Just a little concerned about our unborn babies DNA. We used a donor eggs to conceive by ART about 5months ago. Glad to announce that we are expecting triplets in summer by God’s grace. My question is are these precious gifts of ours gonna have my DNA or the donors. Either way it doesn’t matter, we are just a little curious at least I am their birth mother in record. Please enlighten us thank you.

If they are not your eggs, they will not carry your DNA. However, if they were fertilized with your partner's sperm, they will carry his, according to NIH studies. You are carrying them for 9 months, so they will carry some of your DNA, just not as much as a child that has been naturally conceived.

It really doesn't matter, though, does it? I mean they will be your children? It is the same if you adopt a child, or have to use another man's sperm by donation to become pregnant.

Congratulations on the babies! I am so very happy that you are finally able to have the children you want.

Oh thanks for the enlighten us Verwon. Yeah, regardless of their DNA we are still very happy to have them. I am now happier to know that they will have some of mine dnas too.
