In regards to a drug test, Percocet can be detected in your urine for up to 3-4 days after your last dose. Any point after or around the end of this time frame and I'd expect that it wouldn't show up at detectable levels when your doctor tests for it.

Is your doctor aware that you ran low on your medication? I would think that he/she should be more lenient or sensitive towards this type of situation. I would try to reschedule an appointment for when you do have your meds if possible.

I hope this helps!

That is HORRIBLE advice. If your PM or primary doc are testing for drug levels, it is because they expect you to take them EXACTLY AS PRESCRIBED. I am not judging. I am on a pain medication contract. So...no judgement here!! However, if you ran low or ran out early, it is imperative that you find some. See if you have a friend or relative that will loan you a couple of theirs until you get yours, otherwise you won't get anymore!! Doc's take this SUPER seriously, and in their eyes, you should never run out early. And most docs have heard it all the whole 'my bottle fell in the toilet/sink and my pills got flushed/fell down drain' or 'my scipt got stolen' which they would tell you to call the police and make a FULL report. Full meaning if it was stolen while out in public, most places have security cameras and the police will need to check into that, and if you claim they were stolen from your house the police will want names of anyone who has been in your home...etc. Anything short of a fire consuming your home (and as someone who needs their prescription drugs to be functional mobile, that would be the very first thing I would grab, my DH would grab the photo albums, and my teens would grab the dogs) or some other GRAVE tragedy, if you come up short...or God forbid, test negative...YOU ARE SCREWED!! You will not only never be given scripts from your doctor again, you will find it pretty much impossible to get them from ANY OTHER DOC EITHER!! All clinics share info electronically. So if you fail to mention a physician you have gotten scripts from in the past year, for the purpose of keeping anew doc from finding out about the last, the prescription monitoring database will do it for you, as will your medical records from the clinic and/or any emergency department you have been seen at. There is a thousand ways to get caught, and if you do...the clinic/hospital can call the police for fraud and drug distribution. They can make a claim that you sold your drugs, just based on the fact that you test negative when you were written a script for 'x' amount of time. Soooooooooo....long story short, just take them as directed unless you don't mind loss of life, liberty (freedom from jail) and money (legal fees etc.)!!

Good luck all!
