I accidently took a 3rd week pill monday instead of my 2nd week pill thursday. NOt sure where to go from here ## Hi Kayde, Generally when a pill or dose has been missed, it is my opinion that your next step should be going back to the pill or dose that you should have taken and simply starting over from there with the thought in mind that you wont keep missing or taking the wrong dose. With certain drugs like oral contraceptives, this can be a bit unnerving; but that is why it is important to adhere to the instructions so strictly as compared to other drugs that don't require you take them in an orderly fashion. Have you talked to your doctor or gynecologist about this at all? ## i took 28 pill instead of 22.am i still safe?

I've been on sprintec for 2mnths first period was great.i miss taking pills for two weeks now I have started having my second period on pills and I'm not bleeding really bad but I am cramping like hell wat to do? Is this normal ? Wat can i take to stop this pain it's so bad I wanna go to the emergency room someone please help ## Hello, Cookie88! How are you? That can happen due to hormonal imbalance, which would be expected if you missed 2 weeks of pills. Why did you miss so many? You might want to look into getting yourself a reminder app for our phone, if you have a smartphone, to help avoid missing them in the future. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to suggest something to help with the cramps.

I have Been on tri-sprintec for about three weeks and I havent had a period yet. Should I be worried? I also havE been spotting for about 4 days now I have taken two pregnancy test abd they have both been negative should I be worried? Or is it just my body adjusting to the pill? ## Hello, Blakney! How are you? You shouldn't get your period, until the last week of pills, which don't have active hormones in them. And yes, spotting could be due to your body adjusting to them, but you should consult you doctor to be certain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on tri sprintec for four yrs. Always worked like clockwork every month. This month finished pack and no period. Felt like I was going to start but never did. But I went ahead and started new pack just to be safe. ## Hello, Debidoo! How are you doing? Skipping a period can sometimes happen when you're taking these, because you are adding hormones to your body, plus your own natural hormonal fluctuations can have an affect. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to discuss it with them, to rule out any other problems, but generally just skipping once, here and there, isn't considered harmful and many women do it deliberately when taking oral contraceptives to skip their periods at times when having one would be inconvenient.

Okay, I've been taking Tri Sprintec for about 6 months after being switched from Gianvi (generic Yaz.. bad, bad stuff). Anyway, I used to start the Gianvi pack on Wednesday and I never got my period on the weekend. Now I need to move my Tri Sprintect start to Monday, will it hurt anything to skip the last few white pills? Will there be bleeding?? ## Hi Georgie, Based on my research, the white pills in the Tri Sprintec pack are placebo/sugar pills- therefore it shouldn't hurt to skip the pills. However, since you're very slightly reprogramming your body in a way by switching the start date there may be some light spotting. Also, because birth control is hormonal based and hormones are very sensitive and react differently in everyone, there's no surefire way to know how yo...

I've been on Tri-Sprintec for 6month's , I decided to skip my period So i went right into the new package, I ended up getting my period anyways i've been bleeding for 11 day's now. Is this normal with this birthcontrol? ## Yes, it can happen. They are hormonal based, so you don't always get what you want, when you try to skip your menstrual cycle. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. Is there are times you do want to skip or adjust your cycle, then you may want to talk to your doctor about trying a different one. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I am on my first set of blue Sprintec pills and I started my period two days before I had to take my placebo pills and so far now my period has been going for 8 days. Is this normal? And if not what should...

Posted this as a reply by accident to another post. Here is my question: I had my period last week from roughly Tuesday-Friday. I was just prescribed Tri-Sprintec today (the Wednesday after my period finished). I have taken it before in the past but didn't keep up with it. I know that it says to start either the Sunday or the first day of my period so my OBGYN said to start it on my next period. Would I be ok to start it now? My main concern presently is not the birth control aspect, but getting used to the hormones ASAP for personal reasons. Is there any harm to starting the pill on what is kind of an arbitrary start date and this much after my period? What might be the side effects? Also- in case it IS ok to start it whenever, when will I be protected (and this is the birth contro...

Was just put on Tri-Lo Sprintec after being on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for 10 years... It says you have the option of a Sunday start date, which you start the first Sunday after you start your period unless you start your period on Sunday - in which case you take it the same day. I started my period on Sunday, but didn't pick up my prescription until Tuesday. Can I still start this coming Sunday, or do I now have to wait a month? ## Well, really if you were just switching from one prescription to another, you shouldn't have had any gap in taking it, you should have just continued with the new pill in place of the old one. Otherwise, since you've now had a gap, I am not certain if they will want you to wait a month or just start on Sunday. Have you consulted your doctor? They wil...

I'm crrently taking Junel Fe 1/20, which is a low-dose birth control pill - I think. Walmart has Sprintec and Tri-sprintec on its $4 Rx program. Would either of them be comparable or low-dose? ## You do not have to be on your period to start Sprintec. You can however start it on your first day of your period or the first Sunday after your menstrual cycle. ## Tri-Sprintec is not! You should try asking your doctor or pharmacist to find a viable generic alternative. ## do you have to take the last week of pills the white ones?
