Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 8)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Excellus BCBS in central NY, however it’s not on the formulary. My doctor had to file for a prior authorization with Excellus to get it paid for.

Re: Ken (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

Yes. Some of them absolutely are just sugar pills. I'm having an awful time trying to find something else, either another manufacturer or another medication. In the mean time, I'm worried about going into convulsions because you're NOT supposed to just stop taking these but I KNOW I'm not getting much/any active ingredient in at least half the pills. I hope my doctor has heard of this and can help because I cannot afford the brand name.

Re: Richard (# 139) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks for sharing Richard. Long time Lorazepam user (30 years). Still works for me, has been a life saver. Helped me stop drinking. Have used Watson, Actavis (there was about a week adjustment period) & Aurobindo all basically worked the same. No experience with Leading, but did check the pharmacological standards and exactly the same as Actavis. I guess some people react differently. If Leading is your only option, take it slow.. it may take time.

Re: Leebs (# 143) Expand Referenced Message

Update. Current shortage of Actavis Lorazepam. Pharmacy switched to Leading. Initially was a little jittery, but has since been as effective as Actavis for me.

Re: Leebs (# 144) Expand Referenced Message

My Costco last refill switched to Leading....new prescription went back to actavis......Only difference i see is Leading is thicker.......if I concentrate on it...if I believe Leading isn't as effective...it won't be......totally different feeling than i first had with both......when I first trued either...neither one seemed as good as the original Watson (before 2014)....now I try not to dwell on it...they seem okay......considering i've been on Ativan (original) and generic ativan for over 35 years.

Re: JP (# 142) Expand Referenced Message

I finally found a pharmacy that had a supplier other than Leading Pharma. It's a CVS Caremark-run, used to be Eaton so maybe people who are having problems with Leading could try them. Mine is Aurobindo. They work just like I am used to Lorazepam working. I have not heard back on my FDA complaint.

Re: Lou (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

I agree. I’ve gotten it twice in 6 years, once from CVS and today from Rite Aide. Was surprised, Rite Aide usually has quality products. It is a sugar pill.

Re: Ken (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

Yes. This is the second time I was unfortunately given Leading Pharma lorazepam. Once from CVS so I switched to Rite Aide and couldn’t believe it when I picked up my scrip yesterday and they had given me Leading Pharma lorazepam. Sugar pill that does nothing. A complete ripoff.

dont hold your breath waiting for the fda, i have filed 3 complaints so far and have never received a response, what i have been told is to file a freedom of information request and they will tell you what they're findings are, dont expect much, they are one of the most useless agencies in our government

Re: joe (# 150) Expand Referenced Message

Must be me....for the past 2+ years I've been given Leading and Actavis..at first neither seemed effective but I guess I grew into their fillers...also different batches seem better/worse...probably my imagination or they are screwing with the fillers....but nothing is like the old Wyeth brand name..which i started on 35+ years ago...not even the brand name now...

Re: Richard (# 151) Expand Referenced Message

Was switched to Leading after my Rite Aid in NJ switched from Activis 3 weeks ago (temporarily I hope). Not quite as effective as effective, but for me not terrible. I know Teva had a shortage, but product is supposed to start shipping this month.

Well I'm here to say the VA/military must have got some old stock of Leading/Major lorazepam. Started taken my newest fill and I'm back in a tailspin. My pdoc won't take this back and order Aurobindo since that worked as well as the Leading I'd been getting for about 4 months. He says he won't write a new script due to it being a control substance.

I'm sold on the fact it depends on what part of the country were in. Cause they were filling my script at the main VA in my state (out west). Now it's back to coming from Tennessee.

These tools keep buying whatever they can to save on cost. So now I'm back to trying to stay awake all day. Stuff just knocks me out. I was able to do a reduction from 6mgs a day down to 4mgs. Now I'm back in a hole.

With the new administration taken over the VA/military bases will go back to trying to take us Vets off it all together. Things were a lot different when a republican was in charge. Just something I've seen for years. Sure hope I'm wrong this time.

But I'm truly sold that Leading/Major is different across the states. Sure wished mylan would come back. I'm getting too old for this mess.

Been meaning to say the person that was trying to say Leading was a placebo all I can say is really dude! Any idea how many of us would be in the hospital or having seizures. I can't even skip a dose without problems. That comment was just plain nonsense.

Hope y'all are staying safe and well with this covid deal. Peace!

Re: JP (# 152) Expand Referenced Message

Aurobindo worked really well for me. I don't care that it's made in India. So is some of my other meds. Least they don't fill their meds full of junk fillers. Just my imo.

Re: Richard (# 151) Expand Referenced Message

Actavis to me is as bad as the Leading I just got out of Tennessee Meds by mail VA/military pharmacy. For the past 4-5 months I was getting it from my main VA out west. This last fill came from Tennessee.

Aurobindo has a pretty good lorazepam. I know you're not a fan of meds coming out of India but I've not had any issues with anything they make.

Don't know about you Richard but I'm well beyond tired of getting my body use to one and they change out again. Been doing this since 1987.

Like to see Bausch get nailed for their brand name that isn't brand. Can't believe nobody has called them out. Hasn't been the same since 2004.

I had the bad experience with Trazadone going from Qualitest to Teva. Good luck!

Used to take Actavis 0.5mg for years. Only recently noticed my pharmacy changed it to Leading manufacturer in the past couple months. Didn't think anything of it but after only needing half to 1 pill and rarely ever needing a whole pill I'm finding this stuff feels like a sugar pill...not really really feeling much with even taking one and a half pills! WTF! So damn frustrating.

Re: Jen (# 159) Expand Referenced Message

Stick with it Jen, unless you can find Actavis... they’ve had a shortage for a few months now, so Rite Aid switched to Leading. I had read a lot of the negative reviews about Leading, so I was a little concerned switching.. but Leading has been close to Actavis. Initially felt a little jittery and had headaches off/on, but fine now. Good luck to you.
