I'm suffering from dust allergies from last 3/4 years. Finally doctor told me to take telekast-L for 3 months then it will be clear but I'm using more than 3 months now it is under control but is not cure. If the medicine will stop for two to three days the all problems are felling like nausea, cough in chest, breathing problem. Please suggest me which is the best medicine for my conditions. I'm always worrying about this.

Dear Prasanna,

Unfortunately, there is no such medicine that can completely cure allergy. The best thing anyone can do is to avoid such allergens like dust. Doctor prescribed you telekast -L to get rid of the symptoms but not the route cause. Because, our environment is so polluted everyone allergic to dust should use mask all the time when in the traffic.

Hi Prasanna,

I too suffer from allergies due to dust and I understand your concerns. I too wish there were a cure, but unfortunately like Prasanta mentioned, you can only treat the symptoms. I have even had to undergo treatment using painful allergy shots and they weren't successful.

Based on my research, this medication is a combination of Montelukast Sodium + Levocetirizine Dihydrochlorideas.

Side effects associated with Montelukast Sodium may include (but are not limited to):

Gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, hypersensitivity reactions, sleep disorders, and increased bleeding tendency, in addition to other generic adverse reactions. Its use is associated with a higher incidence of Churg"Strauss syndrome (whether or not this drug is 'unmasking' subclinical Churg"Strauss is as yet uncertain). Drowsiness is also a common side effect.

Side effects associated with Levocetirizine Dihydrochlorideas may include (but are not limited to):

slight sleepiness, headache, mouth dryness, lightheadedness, vision problems (mainly blurred vision), palpitations and fatigue.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Montelukast Details

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Levocetirizine Details

I hope this helps!
