I have been taking it for several years. Just figured out is has been causing other health issues. Doc said stop mirpex start requip problems with requip stop after 3days. Stop everything. not sleeping panic attacks etc. should it be tapered? ## I'm assuming your doctor expect you to just replace Mirapex with Requip, which likely means a taper wasn't necessary. Did you contact them, before stopping the Requip? A taper might be required, since you've been on one of these types of medications for several years. The issues you've described can be withdrawal effects, along with headache, nausea, and diarrhea. What issues were you experiencing that made you stop the Requip so fast?

Requip during pregnancy some misconceptions

I wrote on here last year asking about the effects of requip on an unborn fetus. My RLS was beyond unbearable and the higher the dosage I took the worse the symptoms got. By the time of delivery I was up to 4 mg a day and still only got 2 hours of sleep if I was lucky. I was actually more afraid of my mental health affecting my baby at that point. I recall a few people on this forum shaming me for taking this medication and the risks I was exposing my baby to. My OB shamed me and pretty much everyone using some arbitrary animal study where the dosage was about 10 times higher than a human dosage. I just wanted to report that my daughter is one year old and is absolutely perfect in every way. Not one thing was or is wrong with her. She was born a healthy 7 pounds 8 ounce with no issues. ...

Nausea starts about 1hr after taking the medication, which is 1 mg and lasts for about an hour, does it ever go away? ## How long have you been taking it? Side effects are usually transient and tend to go away, once your body gets used to a medication, but that may take about 4 to 6 weeks. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include stomach pain, loss of appetite, diarrhea and dry mouth.

Med Comco

Can I take Requip and Xanax at same time for severe RLS ? ## Hello, Austin! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. But, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA warns that Xanax carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. The typical side effects of Requip may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, vomiting and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Big round white pill no imprint

I was wandering if this white round no imprint pill is a generic requip ## Hello, Missy! How are you? No, all U.S. prescription tablets are required by law to have an imprint to enable their identification in case of emergency. Thus, any tablet without an imprint can be ruled out as a prescription product. It is most likely just something that's available over the counter. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a big round white pill that's smooth on both sides with no imprints. Bottle says 350 mg Carisoprodol

28 weeks pregnant and Requip has stopped working for me: I'm desperate.

I've been on 1mg of Requip since the first trimester with no adverse effects on the baby. Now, in my third trimester the RLS has become unbearable and I've had to increase the dosage to 3 mg a day, not all atonce. The medication has started to make me ill to the point where I'm vomiting multiple times a day. And its still not working great. I am terrified that the increased dosage will hurt my baby but without it I literally will get no sleep. I have tried everything including taking iron supplements. Nothing works. This is ruining my life. Does anyone have any insight into whether or not this increased dosage is dangerous? Thanks so much. ## Hello, BethAnn! How are you? Congratulations on the pregnancy. Since you are pregnant, it would really be best to consult your doctor ...

Yellow pill that has 5 points to it

Yellow pill with 5 points to it. Nothing on the back of pill except a line through it like to cut it in half and on the front of the pill there is some sort of imprint but can not tell what it is (it is a very faint imprint) ## Hello! Very sorry about your loss. I can't be certain, without knowing the logo that's on it, but I think you may have found a 0.5mg Requip tablet. There is one that matches this description and it has a very hard to see logo on it. Requip is most commonly used to help treat Parkinson's Disease and RLS. Learn more Requip details here. But as I said, I can't be sure, so this is just a random stab based on your description. The best thing to do would be to just dispose of it. Does anyone else have any ideas on what this might be?

Tramacet J-C on one side and T/P on the other

I am 82 and have suffered from RLS (restless leg syndrome) for years. Have been taking Requip but they now seem to have been taken off the maket. They did help quite a lot but the symptoms never seem to go away, only enough to let me get to sleep! A friend gave me some tramacet which I have taken before bed but they take some time to react. First of all should I be taking these at all and should I take them earlier, as I am now sleeping later in the morning. Does anyone else suffer from RLS and maybe suggest another pill? ## @Elsie, My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to the active ingredients in Requip (ropinirole) & Tramacet (tramadol + acetaminophen). I have not bad problems with this pill at all. It actually has calmed my RLS. It took a few days but my RLS is under control. Mind over Matter baby. I dont Mind cuz it doesn't Matter ## I took klonopin 1 mg 2 times daily for 18 yrs. for anxiety. I came off of this 4 yrs. ago due to job loss and no insurance. I started having RLS symptoms which have become worse this last year. A neurologist prescribed Mirapex. I had extremely bad insomnia. Last week my doctor changed my scrip to Requip. Requip Drug From Hell

I have rls symptoms + balance problems heavy feet. I WALK LIKE A DRUNK WHEN SOBER! Started out as stubbing my toe as I walked did not think much on it. I grew worse, felt like my socks were to tight and tingling in my feet. I would turn to walk and my feet did not follow. I learned to think about what I was attempting to do. No more of just stepping over a curb or walking up and down stairs without thinking first. Things that were natural before became difficult. Of course I went to my gp he said we will figure this out I just need to get you to the right specialist. After many mri's and visits to specialist that check my blood flow in feet and legs, cardiologists and nuerologists I was told there are some things we just do not know. Well after all of this I described my symptoms ag...

Does flexiril interact well with requip? ## There are no serious interactions listed, however, you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. The only thing that is warned about is that they can both cause CND depression and respiratory depression, so when used at the same time, you should watch for problematic signs, such as trouble breathing, slowed pulse, sedation and slowed heart rate.
