My grandmother dropped her pill case, and I need to identify all her meds. The only one I can't seem to find is a small white round pill with an M then a line then a 20. There are no stamps on the other side. She has heart and stomach problems so maybe that will help narrow it down. ## This tablet contains 20mgs of Propranolol, a generic for Inderal, this is a beta blocker, used to treat high blood pressure and certain heart conditions. I have been prescribed Ciplar 40 for thyroiditis. I wanted to know if its the correct drug? ## For Tyroiditis? Ciplar contains the active ingredient Propranolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and some other cardivascular problems. what is the differents between the propranolol 80mg tablets and and propranolol 80mg ? ## I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here, 80mgs would be the same as 80mgs, regardless of the form, be it tablets, liquids or what have you. There can be differences in the release mechanism, such as if one tablet is time released and the other is an instant release. Pill with half one side dan and on that same side the other half says 5555 please help ## I located a blue, round pill with DAN 5555 on the same side and 20 on the other. I have been taking 160 propananol for a long time for anxiety and hogh blood pressure. The Dr has told me to half the dose as she thinks it is making me very tired. I am afraid of doing this although I have to as she has only prescribed the half dose. In hosptial a while back for something else the Specialist said this was an ' old fashioned ' drug. ## Scottish scientist and St. Andrews graduate James W. Black successfully developed propranolol in the late 1950s. Common side effec ts while taking Propranolol are Constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, upset stomach or cramping, difficulty sleeping, vomiting. Hi. Yes. Is it possible for this drug to leave like an oiliness on face, chest & back? It can easi- ly be scraped off with a finger nail Is this something Ishould worry over Have been taking it since Jan.,2006 Taking it for my heart and angina. Thank you very much. Signed Marion ## Well, really it is possible to say that any drug can cause almost anything, everyone reacts to them in different ways, you can also react differently from name brand to generic since the binders and fillers are different. However, to rule out some other problem that needs addressing, your best bet is to talk to your doctor. They will know if it is a possible cause of the drug, or if it could symbolize some other health problem that needs addressing.
