Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, gastritis and ulcers.

And no, it isn't known to cause that as a side effect, however, it is difficult to say what effect a medication is going to have on any particular person.
