Are they still making the actavis 15 mg white ½ moon pill?? I had them with no problem till about a week or 2 ago. Before this I have had no problem getting them whenever I needed them. Rumors r they quit making them but haven't seen that anywhere on here.

There is a difference a HUGE DIFFERENCE the ones with the half moon are from the company Activis n blow the G73 out of the water those are from Global pharmaceutical n they suck about a 7 to one ratio I know because 2 months in a row I got the ACTIVIS n then the 3rd month I got the stupid G 73's and I had to take 7 or 8 just to get the same effect from one 20mg ER Activis I know what I'm talking about been in PM for 7 yrs. DO whatever you can to get the ACTIVIS brand

I have had the same issue of originally being on the Global 10 mg hcl er, until this month, I was given the moon's by Actavis. I personally prefer the Global brand. It has been a week,@ 10mg2x day, and my pain level is definitely too high compared to what it normally is. I can't figure out why these would be the ones that people would rob homes and even pharmacies for. Are they not formulated to avoid being abused?

Yes The little round is manufactured by Gobal Pharmaceutical and the larger round with half moon are Activas Pharmaceutical Com. Now the other issue at hand the Activas one with moon on side. Are the biggest street wanting onrs. So please watch who you tell and hide them. I have heard people breaking into homes to get those.

The new pills you have are 10mg Oxymorphone & they look different & bigger because they are made by a different manufacture called Actavis. No you shouldn't get in trouble with your doctor because its the same medication same mg just from different manufacture so as long as it works for you as good as the other type of Oxy-M that you used to get then you are ok, some times you take the same medicine but they don't relieve your pain as good, just because they are made from another company so you should be able to feel if they help to relieve your pain same as the other one you used to get, if not you can ask your pharmacy to order the one that works better for you.

The "moons" are the Actavis brand of the 15mg Oxymorphone ER and the G## are the Global brand of the 15mg Oxymorphone ER. The IR version of Oxymorphone comes in a maximum strength of 10mg in the US. Therefore, any 15mg dosing of the medication would be in the form of ER (Extended Release). They only difference between these two 15mg offerings is the company that produces the generic equivalent to Endo Pharmaceutical's Opana ER 15mg (With E imprint on one side and 15 imprint on opposite).

Hello, Herman! How are you?

I understand that this can be confusing, especially if your pharmacy doesn't inform you, so I'll gladly clear this up for you.

There is no difference, other than they have been manufactured by different companies. Since this is a generic medication, which one your pharmacy has in stock can vary, depending on which company was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. It's how they help keep prices down for uninsured customers.

Are there any other questions or concerns?
