Omnacortil And Pregnancy Safety

My wife has been using Omnacortil 5mg daily each morning for the last year. Now she is 3 months pregnant and we would like to know if this medication causes any harm for my wife or my child during the pregnancy?

Omnacortil contains the active ingredient Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication and though no controlled human studies have been done, animal studies during pregnancy have shown evidence of harm to the baby.
