To those of you who may be looking to gain extra weight, there are healthy and unhealthy ways to go about doing so. I'm going to list some of the key aspects of what I consider to be 'taking a healthy approach' below:

*Proper nutrition and portion control (healthy fats, complete proteins, wholesome nutrient-dense starches or fruits)
*Plenty of sleep at night (for the body to rebuild itself)
*Adequate hydration
*Regular strength training

I also think that from a mental perspective, persistent visualization of reaching your intended goal can be helpful so that you continue to make decisions each day that support your progress and routine.

Perhaps consulting with a registered dietitian, nutritionist or even your medical doctor can help you get started in the safest, most effective means possible for your own unique individual traits, ambitions and reasonable timelines for attaining your target weight.
