If I'm prescribed both pills, do I have to take them together? What if I only take the Losartan without the Hydrochlorothiazide?

You should take them both, as prescribed. They are often used together to help lower high blood pressure and to treat some cardiac conditions. Taking just the Losartan may lower it some, but not as much as taking both.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Did your doctor instruct you to take both?

Someone has asked this, but I didn't see a specific response to it - Should losartan and hydrochlorothiazide be taken at the same time or different times of day for BP control?
