I am very sorry about the cold sores, I know that they can be very painful, as well as embarrassing. There are several products available over the counter that can help alleviate the discomfort, including Carmex and Blistex. I'd not suggest using the Lidocaine, unless it is specifically approved to be used on the facial/oral area. Abreva is another over the counter product that can sometimes help shorten the duration of a cold sore. The NIH and FDA list cold compresses, or ice as possibly helping to relieve the discomfort, they also suggest using Orajel, Anbesol, Tylenol or Advil to help with the pain. I still bleed slightly with scorching pain near my rectum after using daflon 500mg, six daily for four days and four tablets for three days. I use lidocaine gel near the rectum. That said, yes, albuterol has been known to do so, due to the fact that it contains a methyl group substance, which is something breathalyzers sense. Methyl groups are the primary chemical bonds found in alcohol. You can google the connection and you'll find many articles and court cases regarding the effect that asthma inhalers can have on them. This cream is used for topical pain relief and those abbreviations stand for Lidocaine, Prilocaine, Nabumetone and Gabapentin. The first two are topical anesthetics, Nabumetone is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and the Gabapentin is used to treat nerve pain. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these combinations as possibly including skin redness, irritation, dryness and rash. Is there anything else I can help with?

Where can I find green lizard? ## Hi Kim, From what others have stated, "Green Lizard" is supposedly a compounded prescription containing a mixture of Lidocaine + Maalox + Donnatal. So it sounds like you may just have to speak with your doctor about writing a special prescription for it, provided that he understands your purpose for needing it. Apparently one of its primary uses is for cases of indigestion. NOTE: if it's of any help with your search, I did find that some people also refer to this cocktail as "The Green Goddess" I hope this info helps!

Is that serious? ## This is used topically, so the most common side effect has to do with applying it to the skin and usually includes some skin irritation. Are the red spots occurring where you're applying it? Or on the hand you're applying it with? Unless they are swollen, itchy or bleeding, they most likely aren't anything to worry about, but you should check with your doctor to be certain.
