can I still get prego if my jadelle has been expired for 7 years and still in my arm ## Yes, pregnancy is a possibility. Once the Jadelle has expired, it is no longer releasing the hormone required to prevent ovulation. Why has it not been removed? Are you using any other methods of contraception? ## My rod has been expire for close to 2 months n still in my arm how long will it take for me to get pregnant

Hey we'll I just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't had my period for like ages I don't remember but I am curious what to do accept go to the doctors and check what's wrong with me and yeah I've missed my period and I'm on the jadelle ## Hello, Te! How are you? Some women don't have periods while on the Jadelle implant. Have you had yourself checked for pregnancy? It's very doubtful that you are, you're most likely just skipping due to the hormone in the Jadelle.

Ok, so ive had ongoing depression, very on and off. thanks to research and the New Zealand herald article posted Sept last year, I am writing to you I have gotten mine Out today at the doctors. Because: I have ovarian-cysts on my right ovary.. Sought into chinese herbs (drink) to rid of the cysts. (George Zheng/Panmure doc). Very strong cramping in my lower abdomen!! Much MORE aggressive behaviour after the first year.. Relationships have ruined themselves due to my aggression. (alcohol does not help). Sharp (stabbing) pain in my right ovary at times. (sometimes during intercourse also).. HUGE FACIAL HAIR Problem, due to increased Testosterone** but on the some-what 'good' side, I hardly ever have periods, once in 6-8 months. surely this is unhealthy though.. so 3 years later, j...

Hi i also have my implant in 7 years this September and mind has gone into far under the mussel so I'm waiting on surgery to have it removed my doctor told me it should not be still working after 3 years but i cant get pregnant. An believe me its not that I'm been over anxious as i already have two children one is 12 and my other is 7 this week. I always wanted another baby an thought the implant was a temporary solution to not getting pregnant to soon giving me a few years of a brake but i didn't image it would of been this long before i had another baby. Is there a problem with me or could it be that the implant is still working giving its position in my arm?? Please help me find out what is going on with my body!!

HI EVERYONE. Im so stressed at the moment. I had a baby nearly 8 months ago and have had the Jadelle for about 7 month, i had bleeding for nearly 4 months and now since begining of january have had nothing not even spotting, i am also breastfeeding still and am so worried i might be pregnant. All pregnancy test come back negative. I often get period like pains but then nothing happens!! Has anyone else experienced this? ## Hi Nicole, when I got my implants just the other day and my doctor said that 15% of people who get the Jadelle rods do not get their period at all for the 5 years, so it is normal :) Don't stress, be grateful you don't have to live with them :D ## I have had the same problem and its so stressful and im so worried about it im craving but im not gaining weight i...

So i had the implant inserted in 2011 and for the last three months i have had my period which has been ongoing to the point where i might have one day without bleeding and then 2 weeks of full bleeding with no breaks and so on. Its getting to the point where i am wanting to have the implant taken out. ## Hello, Nel! How are you? Yes, that does happen to some women with Jadelle, since it is a progesterone only form of contraception. You may be able to take an oral contraceptive, as well, to get a better hormonal balance. Have you consulted your doctor, yet? ## (Three years) I have not yet consulted with my doctor but i am thinking of having it taken out completely and going for an oral contraceptive. I was more seeking advice from women who have had the jadelle as long as i have and the...

i have been on jadelle for four months, and the pill for two. i have gotten my period once using the pill at the end of the month, but have not gotten it at the end of the second month. has this happened to you? ## Hi, Bella! How are you doing? Since you're actually combining two hormonal contraceptives, irregularities should be expected. Have you consulted your doctor? This overload of hormones may be causing you to not have a normal cycle, so you may miss your period. Is your doctor aware that you're using both? ## hello, yes my doctor has given me both contraceptives. since its in order to regulate my cycle, you can understand why the irregularities are confusing! thank you very much for your helpful advice :) ## Hi. I started with the oralcon pill in the middle of June and d...

Other side effects may include nausea, headache and breakthrough bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

ive had the Jadalle for a year now , I use to get sick the week before or the week of my period , throwing up , dizzy , hot and cold , that happened for about 6 months , I have nothing like that since , but when I had my last period I got sick then had my period .. I had my period 8 days ago and this morning have started bleeding again .. is this normal ? ## Hello, Sezza! How are you doing? Yes, breakthrough bleeding and some nausea can be normal with most hormonal contraceptives. And Jadelle is actually very well known for causing breakthrough bleeding in some women. If it become heavy bleeding that continues, then you should consult your doctor to have things checked out. Is there anything else I can help with?

I got the rods taken out about 4 months ago and still have not had my period, is this normal ## Hello, Mitch! How are you? It can take several months for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own and for your cycle to return to normal. However, if this is the fourth month that you've not had your period, then it would be best to have things checked out to be sure. Are you using any other contraceptive?

I have the implants that are expired. I live in NJ but I don't know where to go to get them removed. It is going to be almost a year since they are expired so it is pretty urgent. Thank you in advance for your advise. ## Hi Ary! U need 2 go 2 the doctor. I would get a hold of 1 ASAP. ## P.S. Call a gynecologist and explain your situation. I'm sure they will fit u in their appt. Schedule. ## @Ary, Any local gynecologist would probably be your best bet, since they actually specialize in this field. However, one thing to be aware of once you've had it removed, is that it could potentially take up to a few months for your hormones to normalize. This means that during this time frame, it is possible that some irregularities may still occur within your menses... but nothing to be ...

I've had jadelle in for almost a year bow and haven't had a period for 8 months. I did a test about 4 months ago and it was negative. I haven't gained weight so I'm sure I'm not pregnant. But could there be something wrong? ## Dear Anna, sometimes certain birth control can slow down or even stop your period. But, I would still talk 2 you're Dr about it. Just 2 b safe.

I have use jadelle for yen years. I am on the third one which will end 2018. Ager fixing the third one, I have been bleeding since fix the jadelle in August last year. I visited my family planning center and was given some pill. The bleeding stopped and it came back in some few day. They change the medicine for me and that one too didn't work so i was ask to go for scan and nothing show. I am yet to the gynacologist. What should I do. ## It is actually very common to have this happen, while using Jadelle. There may have been a fluctuation in your natural hormones, so the addition of the ones in it could be too much for your body and you may have to have it removed. Have you consulted your gynecologist, yet? That would be the best thing to do.

I got Jadelle on 11/07/2013 . I was fine from July up until the start of September when I started getting chest pains regularly and twice they were so severe so much that I couldn't even move. They lasted about 10 to 15 minutes. Is this related to the Jadelle implant? ## Hello, Mutsa! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the chest pain. However, all chest pain should be checked out by a doctor immediately! It may be related to the hormones in the Jadelle, or it may be due to something else, but either way, it needs to be checked out medically for your own safety. Is there anything else I can help with?

Had the implants for 2 years now. The first 6 mths bleeding was frequent every two weeks then has slowly become lighter until 4 mths ago they stopped all together. Awesome ! Or so I thought but just done a pregnancy test - positive ! Not so awesome .... What are the side effects for baby with the rods? I will get them removed ASAP but info please.... Can I get a false positive due to the hormones in the rods? How can it work for 2 years then stop? ## Ok I am pregnant had the rods removed. Not a false positive unplanned but will be ok. Any news on impact of the jadelle rods for throughout first trimester?

I have had the Jadelle implant for around 2.5 years and have only ever got the occasional very light period. Recently i went on doxycycline for my skin and all of a sudden i have had 3 periods within 6 weeks lasting 3-4 days each. Is this related? Nothing else with me seems to have changed and this is just annoying ## Hello, Simmy! How are you? Yes, it probably is due to adding the Doxycycline, though you should check with your doctor to be sure. Since this is a single hormone contraceptive that uses a synthetic form of Progesterone, it tends to be a bit unpredictable. Are there any other questions or concerns?
