I've had my jadelle in for 11 months and no period, all of a sudden I have a 3 day period is that possible ## Me too! I've had mine for 13 months with ZERO sign of a period and all of a sudden I'm on! Really worried it could be something to do with pregnancy but I can't find any info on this situation... Although my GP did say that if you get a period on Jadelle when you wouldn't normally and you have been intimately active with a new partner, you should get an STI check as it can be a symptom for a number of things. Best of luck hun I hope everything is okay for both of us! Any more info would be hugely appreciated! ## That can be a normal occurrence with hormonal contraceptives, such as this. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache...

I removed Jadelle because of the constant bleeding (moderate and heavy spoting everyday between period, and heavy bleeding during period) I kept it in for seven months hoping that my body would adjust, I also gained a lot of weight (due to changes in my eating habit which I associate with the controception). I removed the Jadelle inpant 7 days ago but continue to spot lightly everyday, how long with it take for this to stop...before the implant I had a normal flow (28 days cycle) like clock work. I am also still having those severe cramps. ## Hello, Valeisha! How are you doing? Are you still spotting? Did you remove the implants yourself, or did your doctor remove them? It could take a couple months, before your body starts to get back to norma and you experience your normal cycles, aga...

Can I use Jadelle whilst I am on BP medications Enalapril 20 mg and Ridaq 12.5mg once a day? ## Has your doctor approved your using it? Since it contains only a form of Progesterone and it does not usually cause blood pressure issues in most women. It's usually the ones that contain estrogen that cause blood pressure and heart rate elevations, according to FDA reports. However, the final decision is always up to you and your doctor as to its safety for you. Is your blood pressure under control taking these medications? ## Yes my blood pressure is controlled and I once it for 5 years but that is before I was diagnosed with hypertension. Thank you very much for your assistance and advice I really appreciate it.

Does anyone know if Marijuana use can affect the Jadelle implant and its effectiveness? I have recently become bloated and have been having stomach cramps and headaches, and I'm scared I could be pregnant, even though I have the Jadelle implant in my arm. ## No, it hasn't been known to reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives, though it can put you at the same risk as you would have if you smoked cigarettes. Learn more Jadelle details here. It is a hormonal based contraceptive, so you may just be experiencing some side effects. But have you taken any medications recently, such as antibiotics? ## I have been using jadelle for the past five years. Last month on the 19th it expired but i still have it in my hand. I had my periods in october 2016 till its expiry date but ...

I had in implants put in about 8 days ago. I was spotting for the first two days and I have been bleeding for d last 6 days. It started out as light bleeding but it's getting heavier by the day. I had my baby almost 4 months ago and I haven't seen my period since then. Could this be my period returning, or is the bleeding normal after inserting the implants? ## It really could be due to either one, or perhaps a combination of both, according to NIH symptom listings. Other side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. Are you on any other medications? ## Thank you very much. I had to have the implants taken out after a month. The bleeding stopped after two weeks but I was having serious migraines and my blood pressure kept r...

I thought wow I'm lucky , ofcourse i was not lols I started to bleed a full week than stop than two/weeks later bleed another full week this carried on for two months I saw my doctor and was told its just my body trying to get use to the Implant and let it be for atleast 6-7 months (from my calculations this was about my fifth) so idid I waited a full two months and it got completely worse I bled constantly for that whole two months no breaks or anything somedays it would be verry light so ithought it may...

i have had the jadelle in my arm for 1 and a half years now with NO bleeding ( no period no spotting) this entire time until four days ago when i woke up with blood in my underwear. What is very confusing is that this only happens in the morning . i put a tampon in each day at 7-8am and then take it out at 12-2 and it is full or nearly full. If i put another one in it will get no blood on it , and then later at night no blood on liner. I wake up during the night and still NO BLOOD. Until about 6am ish . I have ibd and am not in flare up and my medication has not changed and i am not stressed . why am i bleeding in the mornings only ??? ## It isn't that you are only bleeding in the mornings, it is most likely that you are slowly spotting throughout the day, it's just so light tha...

I can feel it just under the skin and can also see the rods when i lift my arm as if they are just underneath the skin. Please advise. ## That can be a normal side effect of using this implant, Jay. The NIH lists other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. Reneee, have you had your doctor check on them for you?

If my jadelle has expired two weeks ago and it is still in my arm, can I get pregnant if I have unprotected sex with my husband? ## I've been using jadelle now for 5 yrs and it's going to expire next month, but the problem I'm having this month is that my period was lighter than the past month. Can I be pregnant? How long does it take to be pregnant after it expires? ## Will one be able to get pregnant if the jadelle implant expired last year, but was still left in the body? I am trying to get pregnant and don't know if it will be possible for me to fall pregnant due to the expired jadelle.

Hope its normal? ## Unfortunately, that can happen when you use this contraceptive, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. Hi When I first had jadelle inserted I had normal seven days period until after five years when I inserted a new one about three months ago. This time my period s are lighter than before and can continue for up to three weeks in every day spotting. What should I do? Do I have to remove them? Am confused. ## That can happen, when you use any type of hormonal contraceptive, according to the NIH, you may also experience nasuea, headache, dizziness, and PMS-like symptoms. However, it never hurts to have it checked out, if you're concerned. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on jadelle for 5 yrs now but i don't have enough money to get the rods removed. So, can i use the pill or inj. (other methods of contraceptives) while having the rods inside me? Will there be any side effects? ## I already have jadelle and I want to know if I can get the shot as well or do I need to remove my jadelle? I'm getting so over having periods at inconvenient times! ## DD, if the Jadelle is expired you can use other options, as long as your doctor approves. Smurphy, some people do use both to get the irregular bleeding under control. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi ladies... I got my implants removed about 2 weeks ago, and I'm on no contraception at the moment but my partner and I have tried to be careful since. But, we weren't just this one time, and now I'm worried I could get pregnant! My question is; can you get pregnant after having the implants removed, if your period hasn't returned yet? As I have not had one period since. I would appreciate any feedback given. Thanks very much ## It is hard to say, sometimes it takes a few months, before the body will return to normal cycles so you can get pregnant, but that isn't always the case. Have you had yourself checked for pregnancy to find out? ## It's been seven months after the removal of implant..my menstrual cycles are normall ..I want to fall pregnant but nothing is...

Should I get it removed or is this normal?? ## Hello, Saffa! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. The acne and lack of a period can be normal side effects of it, as listed by the FDA, you may also experience headache, dizziness, irritability, mood swings and PMS-like symptoms. However, the weight loss is not normal and you need to see your doctor to have it checked out. I understand your embarrassment, but there's no need to feel that way.
