I am taking metoprol for my heart as well as lisynopril and amlodapine for high blood pressure. Also meloxicam for spinalstenosis and disc desease of neck.I was a heavy drinker and had problems with my liver.I also have some auto ammune problems. I am taking this med for neck pain.I am now having some problems with bloat and wondering if with my other problems this is a safe med for me 25 mg hydroxyzine ## Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine that is also used for its sedative like effects. It will not help treat the conditions you've listed. The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. Why was it prescribed for you?

I was prescribed hydroxyzine for itching with a bad case of poison ivy. I found that helped with my mild anxiety. Is there anything similar over the counter that I can purchase for the anxiety? There are quite a few non-habit forming options that your doctor can prescribe, such as Prozac. The FDA classifies it as an SSRI antidepressant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight loss. ## Hi. I have tested positive for a benzo drug test every week for 4wks. I have not had any valium in at least 40 days. I take doxepin, hydroxyzine, clonidine, levothyroxin, & suboxone. are any of these causing the positive result? ## Valium has an extremely long half life (50-100 hours) and after regular use can continue to show positive for several weeks. ## Look up the Ashton Manual! Valium and xanax can stay in your system for a very long time. It was in my system for 3 months and I had no choice but to go back on it. I call benzodiazepines the devil medicine. Look into it and know it is probably still in your system. Not to many doctors know the true work of these medicines unfortunately. ## Did u ever find out if it showed up positive in a drug screen??

In the immediate-term, one might come to expect an increased risk of certain side effects. However, my guess is that once the half-life (of around 20 hours) reaches its endpoint, any increased risk factors should start to diminish from that day forward... And since it's already been a couple days from the timing of your post, I can only estimate that the vast majority of this additional dose has already been excreted. Depending on the status of your health and what other conditions you have, I would encourage you to contact your doctor about this incident just to be on the safe side.

I want to know what is the highest does for person to take ## Hi minime, I'm unsure of the absolute maximum dosage, but I believe the normal adult dosage is 50- 100 (mg) which can be taken up to 4 times a day. You should take this medication by mouth with or without food, just follow whatever instructions your doctor has provided. I'm not sure if you are using the liquid form of this medication, but if so, be sure to carefully measure the dose by using a special measuring device/spoon. Using a household spoon is not recommended because you may not get the correct dose. Yesterday, I was prescribed hydroxyzine/Atarax, a drug sometimes used as an anticholinergergic (antihistamine) medicine but can also used for fast-acting relief of panic attacks. I am on currently prescribed Klonopin 2mg 3x a day for generalized anxiety and debilitating panic attacks, along with Fetzima, a SNRI that I recently started a week and 3 days ago. Prior to that, I was on Pristiq for 3 months and that did nothing for my depression but make it worse, and before that I was on Effexor XR, which for a decade because it was the only anti-depressant that didn't cause terrible side-effects and weight gain.
