Generic Metanx Vs Brand Name
(Newest replies first)

Updated

There are a lot of so called Generics that have names that sound like the real deal but they are not. Pam Labs is the owner of Metanx.

Read what this has to say to find the real truth:

What are your thoughts or opinions on the matter?

I pay $ 40 for a 30 day supply. Where do get 90 days for $ 10?

yes, I have been taking the generic(foltanx-$10/90day supply) for about a yr. Still have some discomfort in my feet, but when I stopped taking it for an operation, I could tell a difference in the condition of my feet( more sensitive and burning) I am going to purchase Metanx to see any difference.

@WDG,

Despite what some people may say, I believe that generics will always be different than brand name medications. I mean, why else would they be so much cheaper unless there was something different about it?

In the link you shared, they mentioned that "Breckenridge's authorized generics will be manufactured with the same exact ingredients & quantities as Pamlab's brand products." - I wonder if this includes the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that most people tend to complain about when they get generics.

The inactive ingredients account for how well the drug is absorbed into your system. And when they try to use cheaper binders and fillers, this just makes the medication less successful at getting fully metabolized, and in the right way.

Hopefully they will live up to their word on making the brand/generic truly equivalent, if that's the direction they're headed.

Has anyone tried their products yet?
