Hi Todd,

The dosing information for Fluoxetine is as follows:

Initial dose: 20 mg orally once a day in the morning.

Maintenance dose: 20 to 80 mg/day in 1 to 2 divided doses.

According to this information, you have taken 2 more pills than recommended. Fluoxetine overdose may cause you to experience some of the following side effects: nausea, vomiting, fever, sleepiness, rapid or uneven heartbeat, confusion, fainting, seizures, or coma. Please seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at (1-800-222-1222) if you start experiencing any severe side effects.

Is 6 (20) mg pills what your doctor prescribed to you?

No it's not ok to take six when you never took them before you could do...don't get s*** from your friends! And they don't work right away anyways has to build up in your system...be careful.
