First Time To Take Althea Pill, When To Start?

Hi! Im going to take althea pill but upon reading instruction it shoud be taken fisrt day of monthly period..im done with my monthly period for a week now April 12,2017..is it okey and safe to start taking the althea pill? My husband will arrive this coming May 5,2017..that date also is my monthly period time..when should i start to take althea pill?answer please..thanks!

You can start it at any time, according to NIH directives, but if it is not the first or second day of your period, you will have to take it for a full 7 days, before it will be effective at preventing pregnancy. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms.

Are you on any other medications?

Hi, mag start po sana ako uminom ng althea pills sa susunod na month kasi po nagstop ako sa injectable, nagdecide ako na mag pills na lang. Kaso po nainom ako ng fit right ng uno 3 weeks na po, okay lang po ba na uminom ako ng pills habang nainom pa ako ng fit right? And ask ko na rin po kung ano ang recommended pills po? Thanks.
