I am in 15th week of my pregnancy and was recommended susten 400mg by my doctor. I missed the stop dosage date mentioned by my doctor and took the tablets for 12 extra days. Will it have any side effect? I have my next scan after 2 weeks. Please advise.

Hello, Debbie! How are you?

No, it shouldn't cause any harm, this is actually a hormone that is vital to the health of your baby and your being able to carry a baby to full term. However, you should let your doctor know about this, just in case.

The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, irritability and PMS-like symptoms.

Is there anything else I can help with?
