is empirin #3 still available

my husband used to take empirin#3 and wants to try it again because of chronic pain but we are not sure if it is even available. ## I too would like to know if empirin #3 is available. Did you ever find out? Would appreciate a reply. Thanks. ## The name of the medication is actually Empirin with Codeine, the marking on the tablets is Empirin 3. It contains Aspirin and Codeine, so it's a narcotic analgesic and yes, even several years from the time of the posts asking, in 2013, it is still available. Learn more Aspirin details here and you can learn more Codeine details here. Since it contains a narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any questions or comments? Is ...

darvocet n/50

i know they took this drug off the market....is there another drug that would be simular in effect...i used it for knee pain....tramadol does not work ## Based on my research, Darvocet-N 50 (acetaminophen + propoxyphene napsylate) is a narcotic (opioid) analgesic combination indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain. So it sounds to me like you're just in need of a similar type of drug combination. Although I'd recommend discussing this with your doctor before having any decisive thoughts, a few other potential brands to consider would probably be medications like those listed below: Percodan (Aspirin + Oxycodone) Percocet (Acetaminophen + Oxycodone) Norco (Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone) Ibudone (Hydrocodone + Ibuprofen) Demerol (Meperidine) I hope this info helps!
