Dosage Of Cephalexin

I am taking 500mg of Cephalexin for Mastitis. One doc said 4x a day for a week. Pharmacist said 2x a day for 2 weeks. Does it matter? Due to nausea I would rather take 2x a day for a longer period. Thanks!

I would suggest double checking with your doctor to be sure which is appropriate.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

Usually, it is taken 4 times a day for a week.
