Re: Verwon (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I was curious-do you which xanax brands have less of the active ingredient? I am currently having a major problem after being switched fro Sandoz xanax to Dava xanax and the Dava barely works. Its not just in my head. Ive been taking this stuff for 9 years and this is my 3rd brand and the first 2 were fine. This Dava-s 902 imprint is not nearly as effective. Anyone know any generics that are decent? Would be a huge help.

Re: Alassin Sane (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

I'm currently working on a bottle of Green Dava Xanax from 2014. While you will find no list on which generics might be 20% stronger or weaker, I find the Dava to be fine

Re: EDDY (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

I did a lot of research today and there isn’t a list but I found solid info about the FDA allowing a medication (generic) to be plus or minus 20% the strength of Brand meds. However, it also said that there’s usually only about a 4% difference. But legally, it can vary up to 20%. I have never noticed a difference in my meds and I take all generic meds-4 of which are scheduled lV. I’m not very demanding but I noticed a major difference in the 1mg alprazolam made by Dava. Medicines effect everyone differently so my problem definitely doesn’t have to be yours. I’m glad it works for you. Mazel tov!

Hello, Hopiz! How are you?

This tablet is actually manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 1mg of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

However, there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, it is permitted under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, so they may be a bit lower in the dosage than what you are used to taking.

Is there anything else I can help with?
