My pill bottle has 2 different tablets in it. The label says Diclofenac 100 mg. One tablet is round and peach-colored with GG 904 printed on one side. The other one is a same-size round pink with 93 on one side and 1401 on the other. ## GG 904 is Diclofenac XR 100 mg and I also located the other pill but it says 93 1041 instead of 93 1401. 93 1041 is also round and pink, this pill is Diclofenac 100 mg. The only difference is the first pill is XR (Extended Release), meaning it lasts longer in your system. To learn more click on the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? what does OLFEN TABLET do ## Oflen is not from the US, it's manufactured in other countries, such as: China, Peru, Singapore, Switzerland, and many more. I did however locate the active ingredient which is Diclofenac. The primary mechanism responsible for its anti-inflammatory / antipyretic / analgesic action is inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis by inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX). This has been prescribed to me for lower back pain. What are the side effects and can it be taken long term? At what dosage? ## This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and as such, long-term use is generally not recommened due to the risk of stomach bleeding/ulcers and kidney damage or failure. The most common side effects include dry mouth, nausea and liver damage. ## What should I avoid while taking diclofenac? Do not use any other over-the-counter cold, allergy, or pain medication without first asking your doctor or pharmacist. Many medicines available over the counter contain aspirin or other medicines similar to diclofenac (such as ibuprofen, ketoprofen, or naproxen). If you take certain products together you may accidentally take too much of this type of medication. Read the lab...
