My mom age 55 is suspected Interstitial Lung Disease, and doctor prescribed the medicine Defcort 30 - once daily after breakfast. My question is that - Is the medicine be perfectly OK for cure the patient ? ## What you need to understand is that, by their very nature, most conditions that are considered diseases, do not have cures. It is only the symptoms that can be managed to help keep them under control. That said, Defcort contains the active ingredient Deflazacort, which is a steroid class medication that's used an an anti-inflammatory and to suppress the immune system. Have you spoken to her doctor about your concerns?

my son 4 yrs old is suffring from nephrotic syndrome. before he was being treated with 10mg omnacortil which is a steoid, and has side effects. now the doctor suggested using defcort 30mg as it has less side effects. can any1 recommend this medicene? ## Defcort contains Deflazacort, a glucocoticoid steroid, so there can still be possible side effects. They may include: nausea, dizziness, weight gain and acne. I had muscle pain and I was getting this pain frequently. Is this prescription right? I have been prescribed dezacor to help with my osteoperosis, I don't want to take steroids ## It contains the active ingredient Deflazacort and yes, it is a glucocorticoid steroid. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, acne and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help you with?

This is a corticosteroid that is available in 30 countries. Has it been approved by the FDA yet for use in the US? ## Can you plz send me the list of manufacturers that produce Deflazecort for validation purposes on lab scale? ## Sorry, there is nothing listed under this name in the US databases, so I cannot help you.
