My father has been taking Clonazepam for years. He takes 4mg a night to sleep and he also takes Amitriptyline along with it. About 6 months ago he lost his bottle of Clonazepam and could not get it refilled for another 2 weeks (controlled substance law would not allow it until 30 days from the last refill). After about 5-6 days of cold turkey, he being having high blood pressure, vertigo, clammy skin, numbness in left arm, etc. We thought he was having a stroke. We went to an Urgent Care Clinic and the MD there said he believed it was the withdrawal from the Clonazepam. He prescribed a different Benzodiazepine that he believed would keep him from complete withdrawal and so we all assumed these symptoms would go away. Most of them did ease up, but not 100%. When he restarted the Clonazep...

I take clonazepam 0.5 at night before going to bed since I lost my job. My new job ask for a drug test, is this going to show? is this considered a drug not to be hired? ## What type of job is it and do you have a prescription for the medication? Clonazepam is a Benzodiazepine and is usually detectable in a standard urine test for up to 6 weeks, after last dosing. However, with the exception of only certain jobs, you should just have to inform them that you are taking it under doctor's orders, when you go in for testing. ## I don't know if it is just me or if anyone feels like I do but but it seems everytime I have a different doctor or therapist once I tell them what medicines I take daily most all look at me as if I have 2 heads or I get the oh great another addict this makes ...

I'm taking Warfarin to treat lung blood clots and address my antiphospholipid syndrome. I also get occasional panic attacks, so I was wondering what affect on INR taking 1.0mg or 1.5mg of Clonazepam about a couple times a month would have. Does anybody know? ## Hello, DETBrannigan! How are you? Yes, there could be problems. Clonazepam has been known to cause Thrombocytopenia, though it isn't common, there is a risk of it. That doesn't mean that you can't take it, but that your doctor may need to monitor you more closely for awhile and adjust your Warfarin accordingly. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Unless you have a comp...

I have been taking .5 mg clonazepam made by Actavis for about 7 years. Now all of a sudden my pharmacy could not get it What has happened? Will Actavis no longer be producing it or is it on back order. If it is on back order, what is taking so long? Is there anyone who may still be able to supply it ? Thank you for your help in getting answers to these questions. ## Hello Maxine, I know that when Teva bought out Actavis back in Aug of 2016 that there was a lot of concern with the differences in manufacturing practices and some people were having difficulty getting their brands afterwords. It is possible that the prices have changed and your pharmacy has run out of this particular brand and are now stocking up on a new brand. I cannot find any information online that would indicate that ...

blank on one side, has #1 over #2 on other side, like a fraction ## Hi Sla, I believe I located a match to your pill. The physical description identifies this to be Clonazepam (0.5 mg). Unfortunately, there was no image of the pill for me to justify the fraction-like line, but from what I can tell this was the only match the came up in my searches. Just to clarify, this pill I located is round, orange, and has the imprint "1" and "2". The manufacturer is noted to be: Accord Healthcare, Inc. I'm not sure if this will help, but the National Drug Code (NDC) for this pill is: 16729-0136 To learn more about this drug, click on the link below... found this pill in daughters room want to know what it is ## Could possibly be clonazepam which is often prescribed for anxiety as well as for seizures. Is often abused by teenagers and highly addictive. ## I was also coming to the conclusion that this pill could be Clonazepam. A number of references indicate that R 34 is Clonazepam (1mg). This pill however is noted to be a light yellow color, while you stated yours to be white. Other than that, this fits your description. To learn more about this drug click on the link below... Ive been prescribed Valium and Clonazepam for chronic functional abdominal pain (CFAP) to specifically reduce my tolerance levels for taking 140mg a day of Oycodone (OxyContin 100mg and OxyNorm for B/T Pain) since these formulations are both drugs that are two (2) registered trademark names of benzodiazepines, does a urine analysis just reveal that a patient is taking benzodiazepines? or does it single out the two TradeMark names of Valium and Clonazepam individually as well, or just reveal that the urine sample detects benzodiazapines alone? and the mg amounts of the benzodiazepines? ## valium will stay in your system 21 days I was in a drug treat center and a guy was there with 8000mg of valium in his system. klonipin should clear muck quicker say 8 10 hr ## how long does klonopin sta...

Besides painful scary withdrawal say goodbye to your hair when trying to taper clonazepam or any other benzodiazapine. After taking this a few years it actually added anxiety and problems. People think it works well for them, but just you wait, it turns on you when you least expect it and it is the most painful and fearful thing to go through. Doctors do not knwo how to handle the taper and end up adding more drugs that actually make things worse. Suddenly you find yourself living to avoid all the pain and the physical problems like nerve pain while trying to taper. ## Hello Kate! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about what you're going through. It is normal for your body to get used to any medication that you've been taking for a long period of time and for it to stop work...

I have been on klonopin 1mg for 4 months after an acute mixed manic episode. When I asked my psychiatrist if I could taper at 10% (.125mg) every 2 weeks her answer was: No .25mg at a time because if you're not stable to begin with it doesn't matter how you taper ! She's added large of gabapentin on top of this. I intend to milk titrate over the next 4 months. What do I do? Please advise. ## It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause withdrawal effects that could include seizures, rebound depression, rebound anxiety, diarrhea, and nervousness. What dosage are you taking of the Gabapentin? ## Adamo, So that may be the best comment that a skilled prescriber has ever uttered...

Hi all, just a few days ago I got a refill for my Clonazepam. The manufacturer has been changed, the pills are produced by Northstar. For the life of me I can't remember what the previous manufacturer was, I will ask my pharmacy. Anyway, I feel like I'm having withdrawal symptoms ever since I take the new generic. Nothing serious, but irritating. I'm only taking 0.5 mg in the morning and 1 mg in the evening. After taking the one in the morning, for the rest of the day I feel like I've forgotten to take it (which happens sometimes). Irritable, dry mouth, jumpy. In the evening I notice a difference too, but not as much, because I take the 1 mg right before I go to bed and I am taking an OTC sleep pill (actually gummies, brand is Olly) as well. It's takes longer to fall...

Has anyone heard of the Ashton Method as a way to detox off of benzodiazepenes? I know it is more popular in the UK. I’m trying to find a USA psychiatrist who follows this method. A lot of people have had success coming off without losing their minds in withdrawal. ## My dr. Did a similar approach. Switching me to Valium instead of Xanax and then we got 1mg, .5mg and .25mg compounded so I could make very small tapers. It was the only thing that worked for me after trying to come off on my own unsuccessfully. Dr. Royble at True Life Center in San Diego. There are also some groups that help you to micro taper on your own diluting the pills with liquid. ## I'm looking for one also.

I have a few of these peach/light orange round pills. One side says PMS 1 and the other is scored so it can be broken into 4. I cant find it online. Any suggestions as to what it is and used for? ## I have the same pills. I believe the color is "peach". One side has a cross (+) score and the other says PMS and then 1 under it. I was told they are 1mg clonazepam, and research shows there is a similar pill, only the other side says "CLONAZEPAM" on it. I am in Canada, I believe these pills are generic clonazepam, as they are the exact same except without the word. I took 3 of them several hours ago, which isn't a very high dose but I won't know for sure until I can try it after sleeping and while sober. ## Were they Clonazepam? ## Based on my research, it’s Be...

has anybody been taking clonezepam for a long time? are you having any adverse effects or problems with tolerance? ## Tolerance is completely normal and everyone that takes a medication for a long period of time will eventually experience it. It can just happen at different times for different people. Thus one person may post and say no, they've been taking the same dose for 5 years, but another person may make it less than a year before needing a dosage adjustment. As to adverse effects, it can be habit forming after you've been on it for a long time and a sudden cessation may cause seizures. Learn more Clonazepam details here. Hello, I've been taking 2 mg of Clonzepam for about 5 yrs. If I go longer than four days without it, I can't function. While I do have panic disorder, I'm fairly certain the feelings/actions are withdrawl. In the past month I've been able to taper down to 1.5, and I want to continue until I'm no longer dependent on the drug. I need a realistic schedule on tapering/detox, and do I just fight through the withdrawls (i.e. fingers, arms, hands curling, numbness, anxiety, etc) My Dr doesn't get it...I'm in the process of finding another, but some help in the interim would be great. ## To the person who was taapering off clonazapam.
