I took one 500mg cipoflaxacn last Wedneday. since then every day I have had a rash and or swelling in a differnt place on my body. It startted with a rash on my left ear and arm, then my left hand blew up to over 3 times its normal size,the next day my right hand. My butt,penis,foot,lips,mouth,hip and eye have all had turn. Today a week later it is my lower right eye. How long will this stay in my system? ## I took ciprofloxacn for 3 weeks, to reduce PSA count. 2 weeks into the treatment I have a very bad rash on my penis. lost my lubrication ability, and a white substance is all over the head. I was on ciprofloxin for a persistant ear infection, I felt good while on the antibiotics but now they have finished I feel generally lethargic, a upset stomach and a slight ear ache. Could this just be an after effect as the antibiotics wear off, because of damage to my immune system? ## this site is not medical professionals, so it is impossible for us to say with any certainty. It is possibly just your body recuperating, however, it is also possible that you are still suffering from the infection and the antibiotic did not entirely clear it up. I would like to read your experiences with Ciprofloxacin with regards to tendon problems as severe side effects, especially for elderly patients. ## Cannot help that much. But, I have seen a T.V. commercial regarding cipro and another anitbiotic ( cannot remember that name) The commercial said that they can be linked to severe muscle and tendon problems. So, I would suggest seeing a lawyer. Hope this helps. Barbara ## Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic and tendon toxicity is warned about as a possible adverse effect. I cannot find any information on the other one you asked about. ## Butilhioscina is an anti spasmodic for muscles, specially stomach and intestinal tract.

can it make an 89 yr old, 100 lbs. lady hallucinate.
