Chronic Pain Management In Ar

I'm helping my son find a chronic pain doctor, he had a crush injury to his lower leg & has drop foot from the fasciotomy. He has terrible itching, burning and neuropathy pain. It would be so much easier for him to go to a Methadone Clinic where few question's are asked than be seen at a Pain Clinic where we are treated like scum of the earth. Only pride keeps him from doing this. I don't get it.

Hello, Rhett! How is your son doing?

Does he currently have a PCP that he sees regularly? If so, having them refer him to someone would likely be the easiest way for him to get the help he needs.

Does anyone know of a good doctor in AR?

Has he tried any of the medications for neuropathic pain? His regular doctor can prescribe those.

It is best that he doesn't go to a Methadone Clinic, unless he is an addict. Any dr that sees he has been treated at a Methadone Clinic won't treat him for his chronic pain. He will need his medical records from his previous drs before another dr will treat his chronic pain. A new dr can get these, all your son has to do is sign the release form.
