what side effects? ## Well this is a supplement type of product, not prescription, so I am not sure how easily it would be to find side effect information, as many companies try to claim that natural stuff has none, which is totally untrue as they can be as potent and just as dangerous as prescription drugs. This is said to help lower cholesterol and there are several other claims as well. zetia, are there weight gain side effects?

ezetimibe are there weight gain side effects? ## I don't see any listed, here's the link to the monograph so you can look it over: Zetia Info Click Here Everyone reacts to meds differently though, so it is possible that you could gain weight, even if it isn't a regularly listed side effect.

hyperlipidemia

What are all the meds being perscribed for hyperlipidemia? I would like to compare them and look into each ones side affects. Thank you for your help.:)Jayme ## I take Zocor myself. It seems todo the job without side effects. Look into Lovastatin, Lipitor, Questram, Niacin, Crestor, Provachol, Mevacor and Lescol. I hope this helps.

orange ## Pill Image Did you also read the word Zocor on the other side? If it doesn't have that, then it is a fraudulent med and not safe to take, it should match this image. This is Zocor 20mgs, Simvastatin, used to lower cholesterol.

oorange sheild shape pill with zoccor on one side and MSD 749 on the other???? ## Pill Image Pretty good guess would be that it is Zocor!! This is 40mgs Simvastatin used to block the bodies ability to make cholesterol. ## ditto zippysgoddess! It would make sense it was zocor wouldnt it? ## Yep! LOL!

Lipitor/memory loss

After two years on Lipitor my wife has a serious memory loss. Dr.'s can't explain it. I tell them I believe it's the Lipitor and they say it's not known to cause memory loss. I beginning to hear that it does. Does Lovastatin come in a pink tablet with 634 and a design on it?

I have a round, pink tablet that has the number 634 imprinted on one side and a design is on the other side. Is this a Lovastatin tablet? ## I believe what you are referring to is the purepac logo which is a stylized R, this is indeed Lovastatin 20mgs.

What is this? The imprint is a captal M then beneath that is a capital L19. The other side is blank. It's white. ## It sounds like you have a 10 mg Lovastatin, a cholesterol lowering drug. Sound familiar at all? ## Yup. That's it. I guess the new batch I have, which has a 633 on one side and what looks like a script R on the other, is the same thing by another company. Thanks.

Weight loss after taking Lipitor

I have stopped taking Lipitor because of a few side effect problems (such as muscle pain). I have also been dieting to lose weight for the past year. Since I stopped the Lipitor my rate of weight loss has increased, from about 1 pound per week to 2-3 pounds per week. I am dieting by limiting calories and consuming low fat/high protein foods. Has anyone heard of this regading Lipitor? ## I took lipitor for 10 days and had severe muscle cramps..I stop taking it and am feeling alot better..The doc says very few ppl have severe side affects to this drug... ## It also caused my weight loss to slow down when on this drug..ty ## I stopped taking because of severe pain but started again after a few days in the hospital .
