Just got my mail order of buprotic sr 150. They are maroon colored and I have been trying to do a little research on them and I can't find any info on this brand. Can you please send me some info on them and please let me know if they are even real?

What are the side effects of the medicines Trihexyphen and Bupropion? Please post. ## Hello, Tom! How are you? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Trihexyphenidyl as possibly including nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, constipation, dry mouth and headache. However, I do not see any intimate side effects listed. They list the typical side effects for Bupropion as possibly including nausea, dizziness, nervousness, insomnia, decreased appetite and sore throat. It has been known to affect libido and intimate function, but much less than other antidepressants. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Does it mess with your libido and what happens if you are taking other medications?

I have been on and off (mostly on) bupropion for about ten years. At first I loved it, great libido and weight loss. After I stopped taking it the first time I gained a ton of weight and depression returned. I got back on it but it wasn't nearly as effective as before. Over the years I've tried others that were better for my depression but I stopped taking them because of the weight gain. I always went back to the bupropion even though it no longer helped with my weight. I've been on 300 XL for about a year now. I'm not depressed but I still have no interest in things, no energy, NO libido whatsoever, and weight gain. I've been wondering lately if I should tapper back my dose or switch to SR to see if I have better luck. Any suggestions or similar experiences? ## Wha...

CIPLA got approval from the FDA to produce their generic version of Wellbutrin XL on August 30, 2016. I have made an inquiry to CIPLA as to whether their approval also means that they met the bioequivalence testing that other generic manufacturers had to comply with after Teva/Impax was pulled off the market in Sept. 2012 -- and Actavis (now owned by Watson) was removed Oct. 2013. [Second Generic Version of Popular Antidepressant to be Pulled from Market for Bioequivalency Issues]. Not sure if they have this problem corrected. Anyone know about Cipla or Watson/Actavis? ## For anyone else who may be wanting to contact Cipla USA regarding this concern, you can reach their customer service department by phone at: 844-CIPLA US (844-247-5287) or via email at: [email protected] Furthermore, it...

Hey everbody, for those on Bupropion, how did it effect your digestion? Especially those, who are having/had a "good" digestion with like 2 or 3 times defecation a day - did the Bupropion somehow made you constipated so that you couldnt go that often any more? And how long after the first pill did this start? Thanks much! ## This medication could cause constipation as a side effect, according to NIH reports, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood changes. However, it really is not normal to defecate 2 to 3 times a day. Most people go once a day, or less. Has anyone else experienced this issue with this medication? Most people go once a day, or as little as once a week. ## Ofc it is normal to go 2-3 times a day (just check the transit times of food); howeve...

Supposed to be bupropion hcl XL 300mg, but this is not the usual generic, and I can't find it online. ## Yes, that is the correct medication, it is manufactured by Cipla USA. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was prescribed the same pill, also not my norm and also for Bupropion HCL XL 300 mg, It does say CIPLA on the bottle also. I thought it looked odd, so I googled it and was surprised to not find any info except for this thread. Did you have any problems? ## I have started gaining weight since I received. This is the only thing different I have taken in years. ## I began taking the Cipla version of Bupropion HCL XL 300mg 4 days ago. Each day I've ha...

My husband was put on bupropion hydrochloride 100mg in september 2016. Within 3 weeks that dosage was upped to 150 mg, twice a day (300mg total). Then the first week of december 2016 the dosage was upped to 450 mg (highest dose ever given). He was to take 350 mg in the am and 150mg at 1:00 pm. Within one week on 450 mgs, his fingers in right hand are all numb! All fingers but thumb. He is right handed and cannot pick up anything. Very difficult to hold a fork - to shave - or to do anything! I am currently backing him off of bupropion and praying to god we can get back the feeling in his right hand! Unless your body is seriously pharmaceutical chemical deficient, I would most definitely try to get well without the use of chemicals. They, prescribed chemicals, have wrecked his life as wel...

I've been taking this medication for almost 4 weeks. The first two weeks taking the medication was great, but these last two weeks has been horrible. I've been having motion sickness for two weeks and a lil dizziness every once in awhile. It has helped with my nightmares, but I get so discouraged because the motion sickness is depressing. I wanted to see if the A101 pill or the 3331 150mg pill will make a difference. I've seen XL, SA and SR and it all confuses me why there are so many pills that are related to this medication. I am going to see if my Dr. can change it to a different number, the #13 pill is terrible. ## When a medication is available as a generic it is usually manufactured by various different pharmaceutical companies, whichever one you receive from any given...

The new bottle I received today contained an oblong pill manufactured by Clipla USA. I have been taking a round pill manufactured by PAR. Are these the same except the manufacturer? ## I have always taken Par (their subsidiary Anchen made the bupropion). Today I was told Par has stopped making it and was given Cipla. I have had major issues with other generic brands of Wellbutrin and am nervous about not having Par/Anchen anymore. The other generics were not the same, and bupropion historically has been the subject of many issues with inequitable generics. ## Hello, Kathryn and MK! What are the markings on the pills in question? Sometimes what's listed by the pharmacy is a licensed distributor, rather than the actual manufacturer. Have either of you tried it? If so, is it working fo...

I decided to stop taking this drug and am experiencing extreme fatigue and dizziness. Is this to be expected? ## Yes, those can be typical withdrawal effects, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, fever, chills, rebound depression, and anxiety. How long have you been taking it and what was your dosage? Are you on any other medications?

Can a Bupropion HCL 100 MG tablet (blue, M one side, 435 other side) be cut in half? I have not read that it's an extended release, which I understand can not be cut. ## Yes, that is a regular release tablet, so you can cut it in half, if necessary, as long as your doctor, or pharmacist approves. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm getting my perscription in the morning. i am already an agrivated, agressive person. i'm afraid of this getting worse. any advice? ## Have you started taking it, yet? It may not worsen those traits in your, it may actually help them improve, since it is an antidepressant. Those paradoxical effects don't happen to everyone that takes it. Learn more Bupropion details here. Are you experiencing any side effects? ## I can only speak from my own experience and tell you that it did not happen to me. I am extraordinarily aggressive and sharp with people. It may have leveled me out, paradoxically. ## Hi Julie, I am in the same boat. I picked up my script yesterday and after googling it to death decided I was going to start it. MMD and Anxiety for 21 yrs, plus over weight and a s...

I've been prescribed Bupropion XL to take 2 150 mg once daily. I feel it's not enough. Has anyone tried cutting the pills in half to add 75mg more a day? Are there any risks associated with it? ## You cannot cut these tablets, the XL means that they are time released and cutting them could cause you to get too much of the medication at once. Learn more Bupropion details here. How long have you been taking it? It does take about 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full effect in your body and for you to know if it is going to work for you. So, you may just need to give it a little more time. ## Try getting the 300mg XL instead of taking 2 150mg once a day it could make a big difference!

Costco switched generics on me. I have been taking MYLAN Buprpion 300XL for years. They switched to ACTAVIS and I feel gross and have a metallic taste in my mouth. Costco is no help and I have called around and haven't found a pharmacy that carries MYLAN. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Look, folks: You cannot talk about a generic buproprion without determining its manufacturer. There are quite a few generics out there, but it makes no sense to ask questions about a pill's appearance: name its manufacturer instead and then get your discussions going. ## Actually, the appearance can help determine the manufacturer, since some of them look different, but the markings/imprint must be included in the details. Learn more Bupropion details here. And this is true of all medications that are available as generics, not just Bupropion. Are there any comments or questions? ## Who makes the generic Wellbutrin XL150 marked "141" with no name? This is not effective for me and makes me more depressed and anxious and hands shake. ## HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM WITH GENER...

I would like to know how to switch from Bupropion HCL XL 300 to Contrave 8/90? I have been taking Bupropion for years. I want to switch over to Contrave. ## Hello, Jessie! How are you? The main issue is going to experiencing some withdrawal effects, since Contrave contains less Bupropion, but your doctor should be able to help you make the switch. You may need to do a taper, before starting the Contrave. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, and nervousness. Has anyone else made the switch? If so can you detail how it was done?

My pharmacy gave me Bupropion XL 300 mg by Par. I thought I'd managed to take every generic Bupropion out there, but this is new to me. I'm not finding a lot of information on line. I know everybody may respond to something differently, but I'd be interested in reading any comments from folks out there who have tried this formulation. I seem to respond at least a little differently to each generic I take, and have had one or two that caused big problems. ## Hello, Lainey! How are you? I understand what you're saying, some people can be sensitive to any slight fluctuation in a medication, I am one of them. There have been several people that have complained about the Par Bupropion, but not all. We are all different, so the only thing you can really do is try it and see ho...

Started bupropion 3 days ago and wondering why I am hyper and smoking twice as much? How long before I have less urge to stop smoking? ## Hello, Etta! How are you? This medication can cause some people to feel hyper, anxious, and nervous, according to the FDA. When I tried it, years ago, it made me feel like I drank several pots of coffee and I had to stop taking it, never did anything to change my smoking habits. In most cases, side effects are transient, and will improve once your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. If they worsen, or if they don't improve, you may need to try a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

Another problem with generic not feeling my normal self as with Watson mfg. After two weeks I'm irritable moody cry easily and problems sleeping...don't dare to be sociable. Same problems as the generic Sunco... Why aren't these regulated better? This is my life. ## Hello, Laura! How are you? Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%. However, they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. This was done to help bring generics to market faster, in hopes of keeping prices lower. The FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window and, for most people, it doesn't cause a problem. But some people are sensitive to medications ...

My dr prescribes 3 a day and my insurance will only pay for 2 a day. I cannot afford to pay for the rest of the medication ## Hello, Patsy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. What dosage and formulation has been prescribed? There are various doses available, as well as time released formulations, so your doctor may be able to switch you to one of those, which may be covered by your insurance. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, nervousness and insomnia.
