WILL ATIVAN 2MG AND COUGH SYRUP DAMAGE MY LIVER AS I AM SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC HEPATIC LIVER DAMAGE AND LOOSE MY LIFE ## Lorazepam active ingredient in Ativan may be safer than most benzodiazepines in patients with impaired liver function. Like oxazepam it does not require hepatic oxidation, but only hepatic glucuronidation into lorazepam-glucuronide. Therefore, impaired liver function is unlikely to result in lorazepam accumulation to an extent causing adverse reactions. To learn more click on the link below... I was not able to locate if Phensidyl is bad for your liver, that does not mean that it's not. I did find common side effects while taking Phencidly which are, confusion, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of physical coordination, stomach pain, numbness of fingers and toes, na...

my husband uses 2mg 3times a day .and he cannot reduced it can u help.thks. ## He will need to consult with his doctor. ## Every now and then, I check out the drugs I take and ran across your post. That amount of Ativan is extremely high which may be the problem with stopping. I take one 0.5mg per day as an addition to Dilantin for seizures, which is similar to taking phenobarbital. Definitely have your husband check with his doctor and see if his dosage can be reduced gradually.

white oval ## Ativan (Lorazepam); I was on it for a couple of years and a doctor took me off abruptly ie. circumstances. It was the most terrible, terrible, withdrawal reaction. I went thru a week of nervous jerks, all the time, for about a week. I was miserable. After that I never wanted to risk withdrawing like that again. Make sure you taper when getting off. My ancient oracles advised me never to take it again. Make sure that the prescribing doctor is trustworthy. A good pill for calming nerves. . .don't take more than absolutely necessary. There are several other minor tranquilizers that might not have a similar traumatic withdrawal. What are your symptoms; could another class of drugs be as beneficial ie. for sleep like Pamelor etc or a major tranquilizer in the psychotropic c...

I was given Xanax as an alternative for Ativan. I have been on Ativan for some time now and am leary about using Xanax as a replacement. Is there reason to be worried? ## Why are you taking it as an alternative? Xanax is actually more addictive and has more long lasting side effects than Ativan does. Most doctors prefer to use Ativan when they can get away with it because people dont tend to abuse it like they do Xanax. ## Ativan and Xanax are both in the Benzodiazepine class, both as equally addictive as the other. ## the only real negative difference that i have found bt ativan and xanax is that xanax causes a huge hangover, You may get better results from xanax. who knows ## Seriously try to stay away from the xanax it is extremely addictive. Trust me on this one. ## I do not think t...

long white pill wiht 10 on one side ## Sorry, are there any other markings on the tablet? ## I think you misspelled the word. It is Ativan and is a tranquilizer, which comes in many strengths. If you want to know more about the medicine, buy the Pill Book which is sold at your pharmacy.

I have been prescribed Ativan for 22 years now. I have recently lost my health insurance and my doctor is way too expensive to keep seeing. I talked to them about this and they agreed to prescribe for the next three months for me. 2 mgs 3X daily. Now I am on my last ten Ativan and I have tried to cut back and am suffering terrible sweating, cramping and abdominal pain, diahrea, shaking(tremors). I don't know what to do at this point. I went to another doctor and he freaked and said there was no way he could prescribe Ativan for me- he would put me on Buspar or Paxil. I ran out the door. I have tried these medicines in the past and they make me feel drugged. The Ativan just makes me feel normal. When I first started taking this medication I was told I would be on it for the rest of m...

It is a small white pill with the numbers 66 on top of the # 92. I don't want to get it mixed up with ny other mediction or throw it away. ## I have some of these that I thought were ativan but they are not. I don't remember what they might be. ## Scroll down, this is actually meant to be a GG 92, it is Lorazepam 1mg, it is indeed a generic Ativan.
