Anneal Norco Generic Hydrocodone
(Newest replies first)

Updated

I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest.

My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP.

I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them.

What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand?

I have tried 5 different brands and they are all less effective than name brand or even the norco yellow oblong was much better

They are junk can cause nausea dizziness and unless you take twice the dose they don’t help

Re: Randy (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

Well, Randy you hit the nail on the head! Amneal is garage, junk medication! Our local Pharmacy has been playing this game for several years will me & my back.

They act like you should beg them to supply you a product with Quality and Active ingredients! We know that the bottom line is the driving force to the Pharmacy!

Let us not forget, the prescription is originated from our Doctors, who has our health and quality of life as the purpose to their patients! Our research shows that Qualitest brand as of 2010, is now owned by Par Parma Pharmaceuticals. Good luck with your back, mine was a small problem at 18yrs. old, at 61yrs old, it has took control over my spine and rid cage as a painful daily routine in my life!

Re: David (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I have congenital severe spinal stenosis, and normally take lufkin Parm. Norco 10/325. My pharmacy gave me Amneal Norco this month. They are junk! I've been in terrible pain this month,& this medication doesn't help me at all. It's like a baby aspirin! Better off in the trash! I'll never walk out of my pharmacy with Amneal medication again..Thanks

Has anyone ever heard of Lupin Pharmaceuticals? I am being weaned down from Oxy 5’s to Norco 10’s and the mom and pop Pharmacy uses that brand from India. They have the 5’s and 7.5 in Lupin and 10’s by Amneal. I fill my RX tomorrow so has anyone had any experience with either of these two companies? I was going to Walgreens and they just got their Actavis brand back and now I’m being reduced. How much of a difference is there between the Oxy 5’s and Norco 7.5 and 10’s? I’m worried about having some withdrawal and I have a big event this weekend. I fill tomorrow 2/2/18 and wanted to know kinda what to expect? Sorry if this is too many questions but I thought someone who has been on Norco for a while would know some of these answers. Oh, and what company does Walgreens use for their Norco? Thanks to anyone that can help me with these questions! Hope this posts in time. Have a pain free weekend everyone! I am sure going to try!

Re: Nickie (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

I have been taking Watson 7.5 hydrocodone for 19 years. I just received Amneal 7.5 from Walgreens yesterday, and I am very disappointed in the pain relief. There is a huge difference ! I will never accept Amneal again!

The Amneal Norco pills are useless in keeping my chronic back pain away and/or taking pain away at all. I want the yellow Norco Qualitest ones back. They were the only ones that worked!!!

Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet.

On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability.

I haven't taken the Amneal brand/generic before, but I think it would still be interesting to see if there's a common trend in everyone's feedback here.
