I found a pill that is different from all of the others in a prescription & I can't identify it. It's round, white, had an M on one side and A10 on the other. ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Amlodipine, a generic for Norvasc, this is used to treat high blood pressure and angina. Round blue pill w/C75 imprint. Supposed to be metroprolol from India according to label on bottle @ Walmart. Ckg on computer it says is amlopidine. Not real confident on this. I have always taken white round with numbers & when computer shows different name altogether very questionable. ## C75 is Amlodipine 5mg and Olmesartan 40 mg, which is used to treat high blood pressure. A call to WalMart pharmacy said that IF they changed suppliers, the medicine COULD look different but did not commit to the blue pill with C75 being what was perscribed. white and pink capsule with numbers 93/7371 stamped on thepink & whie side of the capsule. ## I located a capsule with 93 7371 on each side, but it is white and orange. Drug for cholesterol ## Do you mean Amlodipine? If so, it's a long-acting calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine class) used as an anti-hypertensive and in the treatment of angina. Like other calcium channel blockers, amlodipine acts by relaxing the smooth muscle in the arterial wall, decreasing peripheral resistance and hence reducing blood pressure; in angina it increases blood flow to the heart muscle. If you can post back with the imprint from the tablet, I will gladly look it up for you to ascertain it's authenticity. ## Since taking AMLODIP BENAZEP10-20mg ,I have experenced swelling in my feet and ankles.I have read up on this medicine,no where does it refer to swelling.throw some imformation my way. ## Peripheral edema does occur with these types of medications. is amlodyne the same drug as amlodipine? ## So far I haven’t been able to verify that they are both the same. Can you please post back where you obtained this from? It could very well be a foreign medicine, perhaps an equivalent to what is available in the United States. ## I've been told that the amlodyne was a misspelling of amlodipine as heard over the telephone - sorry for the red herring

What is this drug prescribed for? ## I've been put on these tablets now for 2 weeks and ive got alot of bruising on my behind and its very itchy. Can you tell me if this is a side effect please? ## Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure and angina. I suggest talking to your doctor, blood disorders can be a rare side effect and that may be causing the bruising.
