Alendronate Dizziness/Nausea

I have been taking Alendronate 70 mg once a week for two years, but the last month I have experienced increasingly more severe dizziness and subsequent nausea within 24 hours of dosage. Is this 24 hour delayed reaction caused by Alendronate? ## Those can be normal side effects of Alendronate, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may include headache, bloating, constipation, and taste changes. Ref: Alendronate Information Our bodies do change with time, so it is always possible to suddenly start experiencing side effects that you didn't experience in the past. However, there is also a chance that these symptoms are entirely unrelated. Are you on any other medications? Has anything changed in your diet, or lifestyle recently? If its severe, you should consult your doctor for y...

Does anyone know how long it takes? ## side effects from alendronate?Mine is muscle atrophy. ## Hello, Ann! I am very sorry about what you experienced. Alendronate generic Fosamax 70mg

Hello, been on Alendronate 70mg 4 weeks. Stopped taking it two weeks ago. Chiro told me his father fractured vertebrae. All I have read is negative feedback about this drug. Is there any positive feedback on this website about it? Has anyone taken this with good results? ## Hi, Ev! How are you? The thing you have to remember when reading experiences, and reviews online is that most people don't go looking online for a site like this, unless they've had a bad experience. There are many that take a medication without problems, but they don't look for a site like this to find more information, or see if other's have had similar experiences. That said, you are correct in that most of them regarding Fosamax are negative, many people experience problematic side effects, and ha...

Side Effects of Osteoporosis Medications

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2018. My doctor recently presented me with information on medications for this condition and I find the possible side effects frightening. One is taken every six months, what if I have a bad reaction to that. It seems to be those meds or broken bones - I'm between the devil and the deep blue sea! Plus, I seem to be more sensitive to medications as I age. Can anyone discuss their experiences with osteoporosis medications? ## My mother-in-law, who is 73, tried one a few months ago, it made her miserable very quickly, and she stopped after 2 weekly doses. She has now refused to take anymore. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, diarrhea, and joint/muscle aches. The one she tried was Alendronate. White tablet/pill oblong shape imprinted with J

Can anyone help identify following tablet: White oblong shaped pill witha line down the centre and imprinted with the letter J on either side of line. The other side of pill is totally blank. ## The closest match I could find is identified as Alendronate sodium (35mg); which is a white oblong pill imprinted with "J" on one side and "242" on the other. Manufacturer: Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc. Alendronate is used in the treatment of prevention of osteoporosis. I know it doesn't sound like a precise match, but perhaps this can at least help to narrow down your search (for you and for anyone else who may be trying to identify this pill). ## The pill you are describing is frequently given out by private slimming clinics as 'Diethylpropion' 75mg extended ...

apodrolen,alendronato

This is a bone-density medication from Mexico. I can't read Spanish. Are there particular instruction for taking this medication? ## See the page on Alendronate - it should have the information you're looking for on this drug... ## recently purchased Apodrolen(alendronato) for Fosamax, in Mexico, is this safe to take for bone loss? ## Phyllis, please see your doctor or pharmacist to ask that question, since it is a Mexican drug, there are chances that it is impure, dangerous, or etc. Since they are not regulated like drugs in the US are, so your only safe bet would be to consult a professional who might know a little more about the med and the manufacturer. ## Since we want to do everything we can to support the US drug companies and protect their insane profits please don't...
