Adderall Shortage 2022 Florida

Hi All,

I have been having the hardest time finding a pharmacy in Southwest Florida that carries Adderall and its generic. I am currently taking 15mg 3x a day (45mg). My doctor just put in a script for a 3 month supply, to be filling monthly. Walgreens calls me and says they have a new policy stating that because my doctor is over 50 miles away (Tampa area) they can't fill it and the max dosage is 40mg. I'm BAFFLED. First of all, people take up to 60mg a day of Adderall... and now I am on a goose hunt trying to find a pharmacy that is in stock or will even tell me over the phone. I just tried a WinnDixie and am hoping for the best.... Is anyone else in the Southwest Florida area having similar problems?

Because of the shortage a lot of pharmacies in New England aren’t filling them for people who aren’t already their customers because they don’t get enough for the scripts they already have to fill.

Have you tried a mail away pharmacy? Last month CVS mail away filled for me.

Thanks for the tip! Going to see if Walgreens will mail it. What a pain the ass this is truly, also bc pharmacies won’t tell you if they have stock! They truly make you jump through loops to get your scripts filled!
