Two different drugs in the same family that have similar properties ## Xanax is slightly structurally different than klonopin. The main factor being that xanax has a shorter half life than klonopin. The drug gets into your system effecting you quicker and more intensely but also leaves your system more quickily than klonopin which comes on slower lasts longer and leaves the body quicker therefore making it easier to taper off of if that time does come.

Met an older new Doctor today. He was very aware Xanax is poison, especially on the way out during a withdrawal. In fact he says it is the worst in its class. Refreshing to hear that, true or not! Doctor mentioned Klonopin works almost the same. I have a huge supply of Xanax right now and I told him that. I also mentioned I almost died during an unsuccessful switch to Ativan. I know someone that's taking kalotapins 1mg and they don't help her. I just found out that Actavis was bought out by Watson! Fist they were PurePac then Actavis (yellow bars) and they were the a 10 on a scale of 1-10. All benzos as most of you probably know that are made by Watson are terrible. My pharmacy special orders Actavis Clonazepam for me and I asked for them to do the same but they called me back and said her computer said Actavis but she was sent Watson. Its also all over the net. i was just put on this medicine. 0.5 mg 3 times a day! i was used to takin xanax aand i jsut need to know if it is stronger or lighter cause it seems real strong!! ## For anyone else looking for such information, these two Benzodiazepines actually convert on a 1:1 ratio, so they are about the same in relation to strength and potency.
