If you want your life ruined, then go on and take it. Your anxiety will increase 100 fold when you try to come off those things in a couple of years. And you WILL want to come off it. The side effects gets you so bad. And then when you try to get off you WILL go through HELL! Trust me, I have been there, done that. PLEASE, rather take something like green tea extract (L-Theanine) and keep yourself away from the Benzos. Just do a Google search on Benzo withdrawal syndrome and see for yourself.

I just had a bad withdrawal from green 2mg bars. I have taken anti-anxiiety meds for years, mainly xanax. I will not take them again! My w/d consisted of migraines, hallucinations, tremors,, catatonic states of mind, extended stomach and just not wanting to live. shakeing, muscle cramps and nausia ## Xanax contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, this is a Benzodiazepine and they are notoriously easy to become dependent on or addicted to and the withdrawal effects can be pretty severe. What you are describing are normal withdrawal effects, you may also experience diarrhea, insomnia and increased blood pressure and heart rate. I was depressed I guess and took about 45-50 1 grams of Xanax (Alprazolam) at one time. I overdosed and the doctors told me its a miracle I survived and didn't have a seizure. ## The problem is Xanax is a psychological drug and this is not good to do. If you would have in fact taken 50 grams (not milligrams?) you couldn't have survived. I once was going through some problems and did something similar. I was tired of chasing Xanax every month and was not feeling to good. I now have a very large amount and will never let myself feel that bad again (I had nothing to live for or so I thought). I've been trying to research any health related issues when taking Xanax. I take the generic form (alprazolam .5 mg) maybe 2 to 3 times a week as needed.
