Is this a generic norco from walgreens? - white oval pill 2172 scored on back side blank ## will 2172 have the same effect as 3202? how much more friggin' detail do u want? ## @RPMJR, Yes, a white oval pill with 2172 is generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg with a National Drug Code of 0591-2172. Seems like a lot of people here on MedsChat have asked about this pill just within the past couple days so I'm assuming it's a relatively new product and not much info has been posted on the internet. For verification, Actavis Pharmaceuticals is the manufacturer. @Mr. Breeze, 2172 and WATSON 3202 are the same drug with the same listed dosage... But as many of us have come to find out, generic drugs tend to vary in efficacy from one tablet to the next. Furthermore,...

Found a white oval pill with imprint 2172 in my son's sock drawer and need to know what it is. ## Hi Lisa, From what I could gather, a white oval pill marked with 2172 is identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg tablet. Apparently it's a fairly new manufactured version made by Actavis and that may be why there aren't many references to it here/online yet. For verification, the national drug code is reportedly 0591-2172. I hope this helps! ## Thank you so much for the information David this was very helpful ## This is true. New generic for Norco 3/325. I got the same white oval 2172 imprint for my Norco Rx. I searched for information on this but didn't find anything until I looked here. I thought the pharmacy made a mistake. It is not effective for my pain and made me very nauseated. I don't like this "new" brand at all! I wonder if the pharmacy would exchange them for the previous manufacturer. I can't tolerate the nausea and almost had to miss work due to the nausea not to mention that I was still in pain. ## wondering if they replaced for you. i got these today and was on oxycodone right after a shoulder surgery. Today he gave me the 5/325 and my pharmacy gave me the generic which was this 2172. I've taken some today and feel nothing. ## I'm in the same boat. For the last 4 years have always received Wat...

What u guy's mean it makes u feel like a zombie because i just got a my RX from Walgreens and i have something with a 2172 and i normally get 3202 and i'm afraid to take these. Please help me ## Hi Sunnie, Since everyone responds to medication differently, there's no real way of knowing ahead of time if you're going to have a similar reaction or even no side effects at all. Because the outcome isn't set in stone, I would probably suggest taking other opinions lightly until you have a chance to try it for yourself at least once. If it's of any help though, here are a couple other active discussion threads on the 2172 pill: Discuss/hydrocodone-2172-306266.htm Discuss/pain-pill-2172-norco-305949.htm Hope this helps. ## I too have been on the Watson 5-325 with red sp...

I found a white oval pill imprint 2127, can't find any info on the web after plenty searches and alot of resources... Please help, I am wondering if this is a pain medication? ## The pill you're describing reportedly contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone Bitartrate + 325mgs of Acetaminophen made by Actavis. The reason why there aren't many listings yet here on the internet is because it's relatively new to the market. I'm not exactly certain about its exact release date, but some of my research suggest that it's only been out since May 2016. Here is the full scoop (along with its National Drug Code of 0591-2172): dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=6da96f18-c056-45c2-a1c8-f86484e69d08 I hope this helps!

It is the real deal, however I've recently read some complaints here about it not being nearly as effective as other brands. I say, 'to each their own in' that regard, since everyone responds differently... But I hope this helps add some clarity to the confusion. Also for verification, the pill itsel...

Is it really norco? I just got my refill today and they are not working as well as my previous prescription. ## Hi Yaya, My research from the manufacturer depicts a white oval tablet marked with 2172 to be identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg pill. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and is reportedly a product of Actavis Pharmaceuticals that from what I could gather, seems like a newer generic tablet since information about it is relatively sparse on the internet. Hope this helps! ## I have the exact same problem ! The ones with the 2172 do not work the same as the 3604 did . How is this even possible ? Or is it. Are they exactly the same ?

What is 2172 white oval pill I can't identify it is it a Vicodin 5/325 I can't find what this pill is is it a lortab or is it a 10/325 ## Hello, Kelli! How are you? This tablet is very new and I've only recently been able to find verifiable information on it, but it does contain 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The U.S. FDA classifies it as being a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

My prescription has always had the label, Watson on one side the other 3202 white oval tablet. This month my refill is different, white oval tablet with #2172 on one side. They told me they're from a different manufacturer, and they seem to not help as much. Is this a weaker brand, was told possibly a (placebo) can you advise me ? Thank you. ## Hello, David! How are you? Has there been any change? It is not a placebo, but there have been many complaints about it lacking efficacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may need to consult your doctor about taking an alternative medication, for awhile, until you can find a ...
