My generic brand of Lipitor was recalled. CVS gave me replacement of above in the old bottom. Just wanted to double check the medication prior to taking it. ## The tablet in question contains 10mgs of Atorvastatin, which is a generic for Lipitor, so if that's the correct dosage, then you do have the right pill. If that is what this tablet is, then that would also explain why it isn't listed in any of our databases, as a 4mg tablet, it is an over the counter product, in most countries. As of Dec. 2012 it has become a controlled substance so not only do you need an Rx for it but every time an Rx is filled, the DEA is automatically notified. You shouldn't take it w/out an Rx, and if you are allergic to codeine, morphine or if you've ever had a bad reaction or if you are currently taking an SSRZi, or if you have a seizure disorder. Found in my 14year old son's pocket. It's about 1/2" long, about 1/3" wide and flattish oblong in shape (not like a capsule shape). There are no numbers or letters, but on the pink side, it has a raised dots pattern along the entire side. ## Unfortunately, with no markings but those dots, I'm afraid it may be difficult to discover what this contains. That rules it out as U.S. prescription tablet, so it must be an over the counter product. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you.
