I started taking pristiq 5 months ago and since the have gained over 20 pounds! It helps to know that others have had the same problem. It has helped eased my anxiety and really helped the depression but the weight gain makes me more depressed. That's hard to handle. I've only been on Contrave for 4 days and I've gained 6 pounds. My legs, feet and stomach are swollen, so I assume it's retention of water? I had a deep vein clot in my leg. after having surgery I started taking Xarelto. I quit seroquel 5 months ago for several reasons (was addicted to it and not seeing a doctor so I was getting it on the streets, it messed with my head and my heart rate, and of course the weight gain.) I was a good 125lbs ish when I started. 2 years later I'm 160lbs. Seroquel never really made me hungry or overeat, but I slept a good 14 hours a day and spent my time awake lying around because I was so tired. Having quit it though, along with being homeless, I walk quite a lot and barely get to eat. But after 5 months I can't even shed 5lbs. I took 300mg of generic wellbutrin for about two years and lost about 10 lbs in the process. Over a few months of tapering off it (and going on the nuvaring) I've gained about 25 lbs. Now I've been off of it for 3 weeks and the depression has come back. I just went from 60 mg to 80mg of cymbalta. I have fibromyalgia, neuropathy and depression and anxiety.
