Well my dr has me takin 10/325 hydrocodone but is switchin me to percoset jus wanted opinion on what was stronger ## The Oxycodone in the Percocet is stronger than the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin, and otherwise they both also contain Acetaminophen to enhance its effectiveness. 10mgs of Hydrocodone is equivalent to 6.67mgs of Oxycodone, so you will probably get better pain relief from the Percocet. Since it is also a narcotic, the side effects will be similar to what you are used to, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. im taken oxycodone7.5/325 but it isnt working so my doctor is given me oxycondone5mg wich is stronger ## I think it's obvious to say that Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Oxycodone (7.5 mg) with the higher dose is stronger than the one with only 5 mg of Oxycodone and the same dosage of Acetaminophen. What i'm confused on, is why the doctor would give you a lower dose when you told him it wasn't working (or not strong enough I presume)? Some reviews I have come across say that it depends whether or not the medication is the generic version V.S. an off brand version, that determines how effective it may be. Therefore the combination drug containing oxycodone should be roughly twice as strong as the one containing hydrocodone. These drugs are only available in the UK in their pure form, not adulterated with paracetamol like yours. As I have written elsewhere, I really don't see the point of the combos. Unless you are suffering a fever, in which case paracetamol will ease the body temperature. But why take the non-narcotic unless you really need it? I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and a back injury from my service days. Both cause me a great deal of pain. Recently my doctor replaced my Hydroco/APA 10-325mg tab with Methadone 5mg tab. It seems to work better but I must take the methadone 3 x's a day rather than as needed with the Hydroco. ## The Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen would likely also have worked better if you took it regularly.
