I have been on Gildess 1/20 for 5 months and have had some break through bleeding in the beginning but it went away. I have had bad cramping on my period and in the middle of my pack. I typically take my pill in the morning around 9:00am but last saturday I forgot and took it at 10:00pm but I had already started to bleed by 9:00pm. Its now friday its been a week and I am still bleeding bad. Enough to wear a pad. Its aways worse in the morning and gets less at night. However my cramps are constant. I have no idea what to do? Or whats wrong? Could missing one pill by a couple of hours do this? ## Hello, Kayla! How are you? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having. It really doesn't sound like this is the right OC for you to take. You should most likely try a different...

Hi I am 19 and I had my last period in April and my next cycle was supposed to be May 15th and I did not get my period. I had sex on June 8th. What can I take to start my period? ## Hi shafaq, Usually a specific kind of birth control/ oral contraceptive (containing progesterone, Ethinyl estradiol, or some other hormone) is used to regulate periods. You would have to seek a doctor in order to obtain this medication. When you engaged in intercourse, were you protected? If not, there is a chance that you may be pregnant. If you were protected, then I wouldn't worry much. It isn't harmful to miss the menstrual cycle, as long as it doesn't happen often. If you do speak with a doctor, you may consider asking about the medication Regestrone, which is a product of India. The reporte...

I have been on this birth control first time only because of a pilgrimage. However I missed my pill number 6 blue pill in week 1 and realized around 18 hours later and took two pills that day however I m bleeding heavily. Is this normal and also for how long will this bleeding last? I also was going slightly up and down on my time to take the pill however will get more consistent. I just want to ensure no periods after 2 months. As exactly that's when I go for 1 week. Any insight will be appreciated. ## These are hormonal based contraceptives, so yes, menstrual irregularities can be normal for the first 3 months, especially when you miss pills or take them more then 12 hours late. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. That said, taking it also doesn't ensure that you won&#...

Hi, I am on my last week of the package and I've been on this pill for 4 months now. My period comes the day that I start the last week.... is something wrong with that? I take them everyday and have never missed one. ## Hi Sarah, Have you discussed any of this with a gynecologist yet? From a naturalist perspective (assuming you are referring to birth control, when stating "the package"), there is something wrong with that, in the sense that taking a "prescription" pill is an unnatural and unhealthy way to regulate periods and/or birth control. If you're able to, I would consider looking into a natural plant alternative (such as Clary Sage) that doesn't have the undesirable side effects of prescription meds. My girlfriend has been supplementing with this spec...
