Since tramadol is becoming controlled in August, what are my options? Ive been taking tramadol for aprox 8yrs nonstop other than a 7week break. Ive back problems and my knees are broken down do to years of rough wear and tear on top of many injuries. I have been there I know what you mean. But I ask my doctor if he could take me off of that and give me Tramadole 50mg and with Tramadole you wont have the side effects from the pain killers it will take all of that away. Currently, it is classified as a centrally acting analgesic, because it does not control pain as well as a narcotic, but it can cause similar side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.
