I was prescribed Tramadol Sandoz Capsules 50mg for Urinary Tract Infection. After researching the drug I am wondering if this is the correct drug as it does not appear to be an antibiotic? ## No, it is not. It can help with pain, but will not do anything to treat a bacterial infection. Hell I have a m t7 but have been taking the 319 for some time. What is the difference between these two. ## Hello, Romeo! How are you? They have just been manufactured by different companies, which is normal with generic medications. They are usually manufactured by several different companies, which creates market competition to help keep prices down. The one your pharmacy carries may change, at any given time, depending on who might be offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is cymbalta the same as tramadol? ## Hello, Pamela! How are you? No, they are not the same, at all. Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, the FDA classifies it as an SSNRI antidepressant, though it does help some people with anxiety and nerve pain. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. However, Tramadol is an analgesic. Hello. I am a 31 year old woman who was diagnosed 5 years ago with Psoriasis and more recently Psoriatic Arthritis. In addition to taking Humira for this, I also have been prescribed Tramadol 50mg 3x a day. While this drug may not help a lot of you with your symptoms, it has done wonders for me in more ways than one! I would first like to say though that even thought my prescription is for 3x a day, I only take one first thing in the morning and it helps greatly with my pain! Now for my question. After taking this drug for a few weeks it has done something strange. I have had OCD for years and over time my compultions have just gotten worse and worse. Now after being on the Tramadol they seem to be much better! Has anyone else with OCD taking this medication had the same effects? I have...

It would actually be best to have yourself checked out and discover what is actually causing the stomach pain. I'm looking for a doctor in nh that is willing to prescribe me tramadol for my anxiety. I'm not some kind of pill junky, and am willing to have pills counted monthly to show I'm not abusing. I have found this to be a very effective way of dealing with life's daily anxietys. Just need a doctor that is willing to hear me out ## Hello, Kellen! How are you? Since Tramadol is an opiate analgesic, it's going to be difficult to find a doctor that will prescribe it for anxiety. It's not approved to treat such a condition and their prescribing practices are very closely monitored. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You'll most likely ne...

I have really bad toothache and the paracetamol is not working ## Hello, Suzanne! How are you doing? Sorry about the toothache, they are miserable. At this point, it's really going to depend on what's causing the toothache. For instance, if it's due to an infection, then there isn't much that's going to help, until the infection is dealt with via an antibiotic. Have you consulted a dentist, yet?

And while not everyone experiences these side effects, you can't necessarily rule out those who do (especially those facing addiction or dependance issues). Tramadol is no more effective in controlling severe chronic pain than aspirin or Tylenol. It is so weak it should be an OTC medication. Its totally useless in controlling severe chronic pain. ## Sorry that it hasn't help you. However, it does work very well for some people that take it. Everyone is different, so what doesn't work for you may work very well for someone else and vice-versa. Learn more Tramadol details here. It didn't work for me, either. I live in Memphis and am suffering from chronic pain from c1 and c2 in my neck and the trap area in my shoulder. My collarbone often feels like it is broken. I have dealt with this pain on a chronic and severe level since 2007. I will not be able to function at work without it. What can I take in its place? ## Hello, Cydque! How are you? You really need to check with your doctor on this. I was PAINFULLY curious as to the effectiveness tramadol has for moderate/severe toothaches. Usually 800-1000 mg(4 or 5)of ibuprofen alleviate my toothaches, but my friend gave me 6 50mg. tramadols suggesting they might help. Please, anyone with info or reply will be greatly appreciated. thanks!!! ## For anyone looking for this information, Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic, so it really has as good of a chance of helping with a toothache as any other pain reliever. The caveat, of course, is that this is a prescription medication, so it shouldn't be taken if your doctor hasn't prescribed it. Additionally, it is derived from an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation...
