What Is The Difference Between Codone And Oxycodone

I was wondering what the difference is between hydro and oxo codone? Is it the way the pill is made or extracted from the plant, Hydro is by water and Oxy is by oxygen??? I seem to think the oxycodone is stronger and almost all doctors and health care say it is more addicting than hydrocodone, why is this??? I have taken both for cruched disc in my neck and back, is there anything closely related without so much tylenol, I am severely allergic to Ibuprophen (all anit-Inflamitories) and hate the side affects of the tylenol in with either of these..Any help...???? how much codone is in it, what is the difference between generic and the real oxycodone ## This means there are 5mgs of Oxycodone in it and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet. Oxycodone is the generic medication, there name brands are different, so there is no difference to speak of in this case. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is the difference between h-codone and oxycodone? ## Hello, Sur! How are you? They are both narcotics, but different. For each 10mgs you take of Hydrocodone, you'd only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone to be equivalent. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Just started using hydrocodone apap tab5mg-325. This first dose I took is 2 pills at 12 noon. The bottle instructions say you can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. It is now 3:15 pm and it feels like the hydro pills, made by Amneal are just about finished. The pills I have been taking prior to this are oxycodone, Mallinckrodt, acetaminophen 5-325 and I take 1 pill every 6 hours. This is OXY condone, NOT HYDRO codone made by Amneal. Are they different strengths? The HYDRO seems weaker. Whats the difference between the two? And should they be interchangeable? ## It does require 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone to be equal to the 5mg Oxycodone you were taking, because the Oxycodone is stronger.
