why does taking my hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB before I go to sleep at night make me have less pain during the day? ## Apparently, it works very well for you, there's really no other explanation that can be given for this. Medications sometimes work better for some people than for others and it's usually matter of trial and error to find which one works best for you, without causing unwanted side effects. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

What is hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 / 325 TB used for? I was on the 7.5-325 T before for a hip surgery I had (for the pain). What is the difference? ## Hello, Patty! How are you? The dosage is lower, this one contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. If you're asking about the T and TB, there is no difference, they are both just abbreviations for tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Its typical side effects usually include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Are you on any other medications? How are you? No, that doesn't necessarily mean that anything is wrong with you, not every medication works for everyone that tries it, that's why there are usually several to pick from in any given therapeutic category. My doctor changed my medication from Lortab 7.5 500 to Norco 7.5 325, but now i'm super sleepy for about 2 hours now. Any answers ? ## It might be a slight withdrawal effect, due to the lower amount of Acetaminophen, because it potentiates the Hydrocodone. It usually takes about a week or so, for your body to adjust. However, if it continues past that, or worsens, you should consult your doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I hope you've managed to find some sort of relief since you posted this thread. As far as double dosing is concerned, no one but your Dr. can legally tell you what is or isn't safe for you to take, based on their clinical evaluation. I use it for pain relief after lumbar spinal fusion for L5-S1. My pain is in the right leg this time and is worse at night. Why doesn't the med relieve pain at night ## Hi Lil, Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain management. From your description, it sounds to me like you may just require a stronger medication overall, or possibly something else that can be used as an adjunctive therapy to what you're already taking for pain relief. In either case, this is something best discussed with your doctor or health-care provider, who can suggest and offer other types of treatment options for you during those peak hours of worsening pain. The increased pain at night could simply be an indication that you're beginning to build up a tolerance to this medication's effects.... ...

Which is easier on body? Tylenol 3 or hydroco/acetaminop 5-325 ## Hello, Hunter! How are you? Since they both contain Acetaminophen, neither is really any easier on the body, they both carry the same risks of possibly causing liver damage. As to pain relief, the Hydrocodone is far more potent and effective than the Codeine in the Tylenol 3.
