What Is Hydrocodon Nophen

Having hip surgery in 4 days. I was given a prescription for Hydrocodon-Acetami Nophen 5-325 by my Internist for pain when needed. I have only taken a few in the last week but today, I am hurting a bit more. I know I am to stop taking anything with aspirin in it 7 days before surgery except for tylenol which doesn't work for me. Is there aspirin in this medication? Is it safe to take before my surgery? Is there a difference between hydrocodon0 actami nophen 5-300 and oxycodone w/APAP 5/325 ? Is one just stronger than the other or are they different drugs? thank you,. ## Dear Rosie, they both have Tylenol (acetaminophen ) in them. Hydro condone is Vicodin and I believe the oxy condone is a bit stronger. I use 2 b on hydro condone and later they have me oxy condone b cause it would work better .
