What Is A Beta Blocker

I have been taking 5 mg x 2 of Bisoprolol Fumarate for about 10 years. Recently pharmacy substituted Bisoprol Fumarate. For the past few months I have experienced itching like crazy with small bumps. I have heard of this reaction to Toporol, but am wondering if this substitution could be the culprit for me. ## Bisoprol is just another brand name for Bisoprolol, so the active ingredient is the same, however, the inactive ingredients could be different and that may be what is causing your problem. Not many people react to them, which is why they are considered inactive, but even though it is rare, it does happen. Have you consulted your doctor? It sounds like it could be hives, which is an allergic reaction, so it is important that you get too the root of the problem.

I was taken off Inderal because of my COPD, but recently my doctor said to take it again. I'm having reactions that may or may not be due to this med. Does anyone have answers please, concerning the combination of Beta blockers and COPD? ## Do you have any idea why the doctor told you to start taking the same medication, again? If you have high blood pressure, or some other cardiac condition, there are many other medications you can try. And yes, the FDA does warn that beta blockers, including Inderal, may cause problems for people that have COPD. Other side effects may include nausea, headache, dizziness, increased urination, and hypotension. What type of reactions are you having? Are you on any other medications?

Name a Beta Blocker that is the closest one to Levatol 20mg. Have taken Levatol for 12 yrs and it seems to be off the market, am worried about side effects since have such good luck with levatol ( no side effects and would like the closest one to it. have considered olive leaf extract ( I can regulate it ) ## I'd suggest asking your doctor about trying Labetalol, it is known to cause far fewer side effects than most others available. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

She has completed the 3 weeks' course & she is now feeling better than before. Please let me know wether the Cap Betacap tr 80 should be contued.

I am a doctor and I have a weird problem for quite sometime. My left eye used to drains tears ( don't know how to frame it correctly). I had to wipe my eyes every few minutes. A few months back I self diagnosed myself with hypertension, although now I believe I am not hypertensive. I started taking metoprolol and to my surp rise, the drainage from my eye stopped. I have tried stopping metoprolol, for a few days and my blood pressure remains normal but the drainage starts the very day I stop metoprolol. I have also tried amlodipine to see if that helps (don't want to continue beta blocker because i have abnormal lipid profile) but that does not help with drainage. Are people familiar with side effects when adding a beta blocker when patient is already on reminyl/ebixa combination. Mom (83) has taken a significant comprehension downturn, persistent diarrhea, and very sleepy.
