I have two different letters TAB on bottle one is ZYD and other is C04 what does this mean same medication and strength? ## I'm sorry, but your post is somewhat confusing. Are you talking about abbreviations on the labels, or the markings on the tablets themselves? Can you please post back with more details?

On my sleeping pills it says "Apo-Zopiclone"... Then in brackets on the prescription label it says GLA. My question is, what does APO mean...and what does GLA mean? Thank you. ## What's APO 37.5/25 on my sleep medications stand for ## In Canada, and some other countries, medications are often listed according to manufacturer, and name of the actual chemical, so in this case, the APO stands for the manufacturer Apotex. The GLA stands for the distributor, since Apotex licenses their products to several companies for dissemination across the country. The 37.5/25 is the designated dosage of the substances in the relevant medication. Zopiclone may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help wi...

Found a light pink or peach color pill that appears to be oblong with a Capital p and the number 25 on same side with a slash in the middle of the pill, had some visitors lately that might have dripped it but what to make sure what it is before I ask, just thinking about throwing it away but if it is something serious someone needs I don't want to throw away

I got a pill from a friend who said it will calm me down..she said it was valium...but it looks differant...its light yelllow and round. There is a P on top and under the score line there is a 5 ## Since this is Canadian, I can't definitively confirm it, but this pill has come up several times and several Canadians have identified it as being a generic for Valium, with the % designating it as a 5mg tablet. In case you aren't familiar with Valium, here's a link to more Valium details . It does require a prescription and can be habit forming, so it shouldn't be used, without a doctor's approval. Is there anything else I can help with?

is voltaren sr the same as diclofenac ec ## Hello, Frank! How are you? No, they are not the same going by that. The SR stands for sustained release, meaning that it is a time released formulation of the medication, but the EC just means that it is enteric coated, to help prevent it doing damage to your stomach, but there is nothing that designates it as being time released. Is there anything else I can help with?

im allergic to sulfas, sulfites, sulfers so some bi-layered pills i cannot take especially the plastic coated pills so i want to know if bi-layered pills contain sulfas in them... ## Whether or not it contains sulfa, will depend on the specific ingredients of the pills in question, so I can't answer your question from such limited information. Bi-Layered simply means that there are 2 different layers to the pill, either of two different ingredients, or the same ingredient, with two different mechanisms of action. Which specific medications are you asking about?

Ihave a newscript for levothroxine 50 MCG - things usually say MG ## Hi Linn, I definitely hear you on this one. Prescription drugs can be more confusing than algebra at times. Lol The difference of mcg vs mg is the measurement of each. MCG is the abbreviation of micrograms. MG is the abbreviation of milligram. You would need 1000 micrograms to make up 1 milligram. For your own reference: 50 mcg = 0.050 mg Learn More: Levothyroxine Details I hope this helps! :) ## Thank you. That clears up a lot. You are right, it is as bad as algebra which I also did not excel in. ## What is the difference between b12 5000mcg and b12 1000 mcg. I have been taking b12 1000mcg. And the bottle is empty so is it okay if I take b12 5000mcg ## Can you take too much B-12 ? Iam taking 1000 meg per day and get b...

I am taking setraline hydrochloride 25 mg per day and clonozepam mouth disolving tablets .5 at night. Now i want to know how to reduce this two medicine. Any one can help me. ## The withdrawal effects, if you have only been using them as prescribed, are not usually severe, they are mainly annoying. The problem with these types of medications, if you stop them cold turkey is the rebound effect, since your body has to adjust to no longer having them. This can result in worsened depression and anxiety. Have you talked to your doctor about reducing them, yet? In most cases, they should be tapered, slowly, to help avoid these symptoms. If neither are time released, then you can safely split the tablets and start taking less of them.

In one of the chats someone was saying APAP stood for Acetaminophen & Propoxyphene, which makes sense considering the initials, and in all your other answers you say APAP stands for Acetaminophen (only). Why have you dropped the Propoxyphene from your other answers & what the heck is Propoxyphene anyway? I take a generically filled prescription of Fioricet & APAP is one of the listed ingredients. ## Hi Pamela - APAP is ONLY Acetaminophen (aka Tylenol) and has nothing to do with Propoxyphene. "Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen or APAP, is a widely used over-the-counter pain medication and antipyretic (fever reducer)." [1] By the way, Darvocet propoxyphene was discontinued in the US in 2009: "In January 2009, an FDA advisory committee voted 14 to 12 against ...

My perscription for bupropion SR 150mg tablets - I understand what all that means. I want to know what the SA in front of WATSON LABS means? does this mean it was made in South Africa or South America? My pharmacy has switched something and my generic used to be a purple round pill and is now a white round pill. ## The SA stands for sustained action, it's just another way of designating that it's a time released formulation of the medication. Vicodin m325 & vicodine m367 mean ? ## Hello, Jc! How are you? Under current U.S. prescription drug laws, all manufactured tablets and capsules must have markings on them that enable them to be identified in case of emergency. For example, say someone is found unconscious with pills strewn around them, the paramedics would need to know what they had taken in order to provide proper treatment and they can find out, by looking at the markings on the pills and checking in the databases to see what they contained. Another example would be in case of product contamination, then the medications needs to be able to be traced back to a specific manufacturer, in order to rectify the problem and initiate a possible recall. There is no listed tablet that just has M 325 on it. However, when I l...

I have been taking Burpropion HCL SR 150mg for about 4 months now and I recently got my refill for the next three months. However, instead of saying "Bupropion HCL SR 150MG Tablet" It now says "G.E. Bupropion HCL SR 150MG Tablet". My pills also used to be white with a distinct chemical smell, but these new pills are purple and have a fruity smell. I just want to make sure it isn't a change in composition as I have been taking these routinely for my major depressive disorder and have seen great progress and don't want to have a regression. Thanks for any info! ## Are there any markings on them? When initials, or an abbreviation is listed, before a drug name, it usually stands for the manufacturer. Why does it say N/A on my prescription that my doctor sent over? ## N/A generally means that something is not applicable, so it may be something that isn't relevant to you, or to that particular prescription. What is the prescription for, and what context is the N/A used in? One example would be if they electronically filled out a prescription to be sent to your pharmacy for something that you are to take as needed, in that case, they may put N/A in the category for dosing frequency. Or, they may do so, if it is something you are only to take one dose of, and etc.
